Don't look now, but they've assembled 3 pretty solid scoring lines and their D is going to be populated with some fantastic young kids this season (Gelinas, Merrill, Larsson)... along w/ Mr. Schneider holding the reins. - Tomahawk
What are these 3 scoring lines you speak of? |

Not really. It's all about McDavid here as well. - PhillySportsGuy
I'm not so high on Echiel. I think McDavid will be the next best player in the NHL. Travis Konecny is really overlooked to me. He will be a star IMO. |

I haven't even delved into next years draft class. I will watch and learn more throughout the year.
It's a lot harder to follow the CHL in the states. There is very little discussion outside of websites. None of the games are televised or discussed. I'm pretty much limited to what I can stream, what I can read online and the friends I have who actually follow these things closely.
Our sports networks revolve entirely around football. |

Yeah hockey must be behind football and basketball in the winter in the states. Down here it's all hockey. Even the OHL gets some tv time. Basketball is getting bigger here because the the Raptors are starting to get good. |

They'll struggle to score. Losing Fayne will hurt too. I'm pretty sure Havlat and Clowe are net negatives on that team. |

I hope all the best for Timonen and hope he gets well. However I feel like Streit should have been the 1st PP unit guy regardless of a healthy Timonen. He just isn't the PP quarterback he use to be. Del Zotto should be a decent replacement, throw him on the 2nd PP unit maybe that would get him some points, he should be mobilt and have the ability to move the puck. Hopefully he isn't a liability defensively. |

Bill Meltzer: Timonen's Hockey Future is Cloudy; Flyers Sign Del Zotto - bmeltzer
I have some concerns but I also have some optimism.
First, I'm concerned about killing penalties. Streit himself didn't play on the PK much, if at all last season. With Timonen out, that really only leaves four regulars on the PK, while crossing our fingers that these four regulars rarely/never take a penalty.
As Tomahawk has pointed out, the Del Zotto signing could become a lot like the Mason trade. I'm a believer that should Del Zotto play above average, he could become apart of this team's future.
With the trade of Hartnell and Timonen in question of ever returning, who becomes Giroux's assistant Captains?

Neighboring countries, but might as well be thousands of miles apart in regards to sports.
I love football, basketball and baseball, but even I admit hey overdo it. |

In case anyone was wondering. I found Pierre-Edouard Bellemare in NHL14. He does have a photo and he is a 61 overall rating. |

Baseball is pretty big but it's only because there is no hockey on. I wonder if NFL would be bigger in Canada if we got a team. |

There was thought the Bills might move to Toronto. It appears Pegula is going to make an attempt to purchase the team and keep them in Buffalo though. |

Relevance? There are plenty of bad players ranked in the 80+ overall. |

We have CFL, if we had a NFL team we wouldn't be any bigger. I don't like football, I will go to a CFL game if I get free tickets but I have little interest in the sport because it is fairly boring to me. Too many pauses in the action and there is little action when play is going. I have no interest in Baseball or Basketball. |
