'The Real World' started it all. Decent concept, until people figured out it was a way to act freaky and get the attention they missed as a kid (not to mention the possibility of a quick buck).

You gotta be careful. Businesses will check your social media before hiring you. Best thing to do is make everything private so only friends can see anything.

agree. unfortunately sometimes you have no control. i know a guy who was fired (and blacklisted in his industry) because he wore an 'offensive' halloween costume and some random person at a bar posted a picture of it. It went viral. I also know the hawks fan that had a few to many drinks and wore adam pardy's helmet when bollig put him through the glass. he recieved thousands of hate emails at work the next day and his wife was called white trash at least 50,000 times between youtube, message boards, etc. None of these people deserved what they got - even if what they did was stupid.

I'm so glad I didn't have to go through my 20's with cell phones cameras and facebook - at least I have total deniability regarding all the stupid things I did lol.
