I'm actually very excited for Michael Del Zotto. If all goes well, he'll only become apart of the team's future as the youth movement moves forward. I'm actually crossing my fingers that he could become as good as Streit and possibly replace him. He doesn't replace Timonen or fills the number one defenseman hole but we do have hope within the system that might. |

I think this dude is reacting to the news of the Umberger/Hartnell trade. |

I was at the 6-3 loss in Columbus on December 21. Columbus is a great place to catch a game and an underrated fan base. This guy was there, I was at the same level as him and he was to my left. You almost want the Jackets to score again and again and again as a visitor. Not only does the well known Cannon go off but all these chicks come out of nowhere and start clapping in the stands. I never had any idea where they came from but with each goal, there they were. |

He could also be reacting that way because it's dollar dog night.

I don't think that's far outside the realm of possibility. However, no way he'll match the physical game Mez had pre-shoulder falling off. - jmatchett383
Del Zotto isn't big, but he's a feisty little bastard and a solid hitter |

For anyone who gives a crap...
The friend who was fired posted pictures of her son's elementary school graduation on her facebook account from home, not on the job. Someone brought it to the administration's attention and she was fired on the spot. No warning, no request to take them down, just fired. She works for the school district (not as a teacher) and they have a strict policy that you can't post pictures on the internet of students. She had one group shot of his class on the stage.
..and so that's that. A reliable worker and single mother out of work. I feel bad for her.

Do the Flyers have a dominant 1st pair? No. They will have 3 competent pairs. The 3rd pair guys will end up getting about 18 minutes rather than 12-14. With who they have, I am comfortable with that. - GeorgeBailey
I agree. Depending on how the Chief plays this... We could have an average to good line up. If Timonen had played (without much decline from last year), we may have been a solid good defensive group. Although, I'm not thrilled that we don't have a top line - 3 good lines can work. Look back on the last Flyers finals (09-10), they had two great lines with Pronger, Timonen, Coburn, Carle... But, after that they had Nothing; Parent, Krajicek, Bartilus, Syvret, Tollefsen. The top lines got worn out, and the 3rd line let in the goals. We have a much better 3rd line than that team and a better goalie - so there is some hope for a good season, but we'll never make it the finals. |

Sounds like another idiotic zero common sense zero tolerance policy. These are the same people who suspend a kid for chewing a pop tart in to the shape of a "gun".

Honestly, the Eastern Conference is mediocre at best. It's not getting to the finals that's the challenge, it's getting there and looking like you can compete. |

Yeah, it sure seems like something could have been worked out with a warning/suspension and a bit of a formal conversation. |
