Nothing can beat the XFL. Vince McMahon just gave the people what they wanted. - jmatchett383
The XFL wasn't the league we wanted.
It was the league we deserved. |

I love that a player sustained a broken leg before an official play had ever been run in the league. That's just pure perfection. - jmatchett383
I can remember going to watch that first game like it was going to be a big deal.
After about 45 minutes, the novelty had worn off and we noticed all the players were not good at football. |

The XFL never went away. It simply went into hiding after it became the villian. It's still around us like a silent protector, stopping renegade football leagues from springing up overnight. |

Bon Jovi is going to be the new owner of the Buffalo Bills?
I was hoping Donald Trump won the bid. This logo would have been stellar.

Let's say you get arrested for drug possession, should your employer have a right to fire you? - MJL
This is the winner here. Exactly what I was going to say.
Basketball and football get zero respect from me. Those 2 are organizations where it seems like being a truly good role model is a breath of fresh air.
And that's (frank)ing disgraceful. |

I used to enjoy watching the old USFL. They actually put a quality product on the field. |

After reading other sites I have come to the conclusion no matter what the Flyers do they are stupid. They keep pointing out that Del Zotto cannot replace Kimmo. No poop sherlock. I think as Flyers fans we know that. What he does bring is skating and offensive extincts. We aren't saying he will be a 30 minute a night player. If this was the blackhawks or lightening or kings or penguins people would be congradulating them on such a low-risk/high reward signing. It is kind of annoying having all these median and experts trying to tells us what our team is about. Also lets give Hextall and Berube a full year. Maybe this team is flawed but with a fu offseason for Berube to bring in his system maybe he can cover some of these flaw.
Ok Rant over. Just hate unintelligant national media types |

I just hope Timonen is fine to lead a normal life. It sucks that he may have to potentially leave the sport on terms that are not his own. He's been a warrior for this franchise and should be commended on his time here.
From a Flyers perspective, sure it hurts losing Timonen, but in the grand scheme of things this Flyers team isn't a contender, and Timonen is at the end of his career anyway. It's not like this is a crippling injury to a team on the verge of winning a Cup. |

oh i get that. But people seem to think we are idiots. We aren't saying Del Zotto can replace Kimmo. National mdeia types think we are stupid. But with better team d this team can be better. Which also makes the d look better. |

That's very true. We are lucky given his hereditary condition that he only missed four games from blood clots in his Flyers career. And it sounds like he is very lucky his buddy in Finland was a doctor who told him to go to the hospital. |

Does anyone know how they were detected? Are there physical signs of blood clots? |

It's scary stuff.

On his way back home from a long flight to the Czech Republic in 2008, Fleischmann noticed that he had lost feeling in his legs, only later to find he had been diagnosed with a genetic blood disorder called Deep Vein Thrombosis. This mutation is something that most people are born with but don’t find out they have it until a blood clot has already formed. |

I assume that once they find clots in one place, it's standard procedure to scan the lungs and brain via ultrasound, or some other kind of imaging. Clots can move to those areas. |
