Who's going to play D in Edmonton? We know it won't be Schultz, Nikitin, Ference or Marincin.

Why do all the islanders fans think Amac and Streit are garbage? Streit was a minus player with you but a +3 thus past season. Why? Because they had a good team. I don't understand why islander fans don't understand this? Oh yeah, they're islander fans. What do they know about hockey!!!
- BernieKorch

Amac is garbage. Every goal I watched the Rangers score in the playoffs he was on the ice. He cannot clear the puck if his life depended on it. Amac has average offensive skill and below average hockey IQ.

Once Amac was traded every Islander's corsi, fenwick, etc increased. You should see the charts of the Isles players crosi % with Amac on the ice and without. About a +9% increase without him.

You have to give to get. No way Nashville would take your "lesser talents"/garbage. You would be getting arguably the best d-man in the league. Wake up.

You want to keep Simmonds, Voracek, Giroux and Couturier and still manage to grab Weber? Ain't happening son.

Lets not pretend that Streit didn't look like dog poop for the first 1/2 of the season... let's see him have at least one solid season from beginning to end before we unfurl the old "Mission Accomplished" banner, shall we?

I really don't believe anyone thinks Philly will trade for Weber, let alone without including 2 of those names above.

You'd have to be one of those people completely drunk off of the Kool-Aid.

AMac struggled in the Playoffs but so did most of the other Flyers as well. The only two who actually played well on D were Schenn and Streit, forwards were brutal, Simmonds had 2 good games that was it, Giroux played ok Voracek was good but had nothing to show, Flyers did not play well as a whole and that is why they lost. If Mason and Emery did not play well, they would have been swept.

dear god, I don't think anyone is unfurling any banners as much as trying to make a point to the fans of teams with less success last year that throw stones.

the defense is not good. lol, not good at all. I think his goaded response was about people in glass houses

Unfortunately, the "your team sucks therefore your opinion is invalid" argument is moronic.

Yes the Islanders are, generally speaking, a bad hockey team. But that doesn't magically prevent Islander fans from being allowed to point out if other bad players/teams/coaches/GM's are bad also.

don't mistake me making fun of amac as though I think the Isles d is good. It's not, but I don't think I've ever yelled at the tv so much as I did last year before amac finally got moved. My blood pressure went down substantially

No, it doesn't prevent Isles fans from pointing out bad players at all!

It's just that amac in particular did well for philly (when paired with Schenn if you can figure that one out ), and didn't look like the amac of the NYI until the playoffs.

and yeah, that was totally bad. He wasn't alone, either.

But you know as long as you toss rocks, people on the other side will start to chuck em back to your side. It's the way it is. Especially on the interwebz

I hear ya, it wasn't even so much about that particular AMac argument. Just in general I see so much of "well your team sucks so you don't know anything" and it's the lamest possible retort and an obvious admission of not having much of a counter-argument.

pretty sure it's a minutes/way he was used thing. like the one guy inadvertently said "give him time, he'll show you he's a scratch". but by time i mean minutes/responsibility.

either way you guys are arguing about andy (frank)ing macdonald for a couple pages now. there's gotta be something else we can talk about.

I always found "enough said" was the lamest, but "your team sucks, so therefore you suck" can make a strong claim

I more so wanted to discuss who will replace him, and if any Flyers fans thought Hextall would dip into the pool of youth too early, sign MDZ, or roll with Schultz.

Not to mention I hope Kimmo pulls though this, as blot clots are scary poop.

i feel like they're just stuck in a bad situation. there's nothing they can do right now to make a major improvement and i didn't really like the makeup of the defense anyway. i haven't for a few years.

i think it just is what it is now. and they probably will have to play guys like macdonald more than they ever intended to now and they'll be exposed for what they are if you overextend them. so it's bad all around.

Too be fair Last season was AMacs 2nd playoff appearance in his career. The previous season he played 4 games with the Isles
