amac only blocks shots because he can't take the body, can't tie up the stick, can't clear the zone and otherwise he's useless. He blocks a ton of shots because he causes a ton of turnovers and plays very passive defense.

expecting him to be solid defensively will lead to some terrible disappointment

Does Corsi and Fenwick differentiate between good shot blockers and guys who are so slow they get hit with a lot of pucks?

A "good shot blocker" is still the same guy as the ""too slow to get out of the way" guy because they're both in the wrong end of the rink..
