I agree with you. Many of you think we should wait and see...which is fine, I think that's a solid strategy at this point. But this is not a cup team, IMO. Bottom 6 has improved slightly. I say slightly because if Downie plays like he did last year, sutter plays like the regular season, and Spaling plays like his metrics suggest....we really haven't improved much. We are all just hoping we get the best version of everyone.

My point is, sure wait and see, but we need an unexpected emergence (Bennett or kapenen) or one trade/ upgrade in the top 6,imo

I disagree with you. I think we certainly are a cup team. I 100% believe that we havent won more cups because Bylsma. His refusal (inability?) to adapt his system and his inability to rein in his team cost us more chances at the cup than anything else. Look at every series loss, TB -- up 3-1 team implodes loses. Philly? Team loses their minds! NYR -- team up 3-1 team implodes loses. These are situations where a better coach would have been able to calm the team down. Bylsma could not and thats the playbook on the Pens, get in their heads... well that or shut down the middle for example against Montreal or Boston. Both series Bylsma forcing the same system cost us the series.

We have a much improved bottom six, and we have Crosby and Malkin. But the best move was the complete overhall of the front office. New GM, New Coaches new culture.

I know you have been the most vocal in the idea that we need a top 6 winger, but I dont think we do. I think we've got all we need now.

Too harsh on Megna. He showed he can be useful even getting a few shifts (and doing well) on the 2nd line. I'd dump Adams for sure...at least by mid-season. Sill/Payerl/Megna can fight it out for a roster spot.

All that's left is to sit here and complain until camp

Well here we go, we are F'd.

Good Ole JR knows exactly what kind of player Sutter is and he signed him to a 2 year deal, this says one thing; there is no change in direction coming this year for this team. We will once again be an underachieving team that feels like we can slide by on reputation just like we have been since that skinny turd put on a Pens sweater.

I was dead right about Bylsma 5 years ago and I am right about this he is not a winning player, he is a lazy, weak, unmotivated, team killing locker room cancer and he is going to keep the Penguins from their ultimate goal for the next two years now. Thanks Good Ole JR.
