Works for me. Bridge contract for Despres, Spaling and now him. Gives them all opportunities to prove themselves further with better linemates or advanced roles. Im okay with this.

That's about right. Tough for 2 more roster spots. A trade would seem likely but they've wiggled through financial cracks before. Have until October to be cap compliant and they aren't over, so that's good.

The deal...as I'd imagined it wouldn't...doesn't include a no trade clause.

Not bad for Sutter, he or Martin will be moved. I am not worried about the cap. JR is the GM and is well aware of the situation, he's on it and is 2 or 3 moves ahead of the rest of us.

Man, can you just imagine if JR could somehow get rid of scuds. They would have about 4 mil in cap space. I think JR has done a good job given what he had to work with.

Eh, IMO tlusty hasn't done enough. Seems like a lateral move. Id say keep the team how it is now and address any needs at the deadline.

Not bad IMO, I think you move Martin, and either bring in a top 6 or Kap makes it. Drop Dupes to the 3rd, Downie to the 4th and its a pretty solid roster.

Sutter was excellent in the playoffs, hope he picks it up from there with a huge upgrade on his wings..... shouldn't be asking much.

I've been impartial with him, but if the playoffs are indicative of what his game can consistently be, it's a good signing.

Now if we could erase August and September from the map....
