What are you apologizing for ? Most on this board have been there at one time or another ? You have to be a little bit crazy to really be sane !

My whole point is I don't know. He's played 10 games.

I'm going to use this comment as a jumping point if you don't mind bo0s.

It really aggravates me when people are so short sighted that they blame Pegula for the failures of this team and this city. Things like "Oh look, Pegula wants to buy the Bills, how fitting, now both teams can be terrible." It really blows my (frank)ing mind. It's so short sighted and ignorant that it really makes me wonder about the intelligence of sports fans as a whole. I know that die hard sports fans are the minority when it comes to total audience, but unintelligent, uninformed comments like that are simply ridiculous.

How can people blame an owner, who is simply an owner, for ruining a team he just purchased? He doesn't control the players in any capacity. All he does is fund the team, open staff employment and hands over the keys to the designated decision makers. Now, you can argue that he chose the wrong people to join the staff. When it comes to player and player related personnel, it's all on the GM. Pegula brought in Lafontaine and Patty hired (along with Pegula I'd bet) Murray. At this juncture it appears they made a great hiring.

I can go off on a bunch of tangents, but the point is Pegula has injected so much money into the Sabres and into the Buffalo community that very few owners have matched in their tenures as NHL owners. He's doing EVERYTHING off the ice as humanely possible. The staff, the arena, city improvements, trying to keep the damn Bills in Buffalo. What won't this guy do?

And to think, people say he's terrible because they throw the failings of Darcy Regier, a man I would have liked Pegula to dispose of immediately, directly upon Pegula. Pegula showed patience with Regier and Ruff and basically gave them a clean slate. It's a fantastic virtue to have. He gave him 3 years and then acted on what he (and we) personally thought of Regier all these years. We can't let this man rebuild this team a third time. The staff is HUGE, the players part of the arena is state of the art, Buffalo is on an upswing partially thanks to new downtown development amongst other things, all thanks to this guy. Enough of the short sighted BS.

Very well said. Pegula is the best NHL owner IMO. Maybe even best sports franchise owner if he gets the Bills back on track.

I don't think you can honestly. I don't think it's impossible for him to be a top 15 QB at some point.

He was not bad last year. He was actually pretty good to start the season.

He had a few bad games. People forget he was a rookie.

i know Dareus has had a rough off season.....but the guy is an elite talent. and can make our Defense Elite ....they would be unwise to trade him as he is entering his Prime. You do not win that way, and Good organizations don't do this

it would be nice to resign Spiller, if the price is right...its not a good idea to pay 9 million + for a running back even one w Spiller's talent....i think the Bills realize this, and know he will command big money if he has a good year... that's why they traded for Brown, and extended Jackson for insurance.

The Bills reached for a 3rd, 4th round talent in the first round - they took a prospect with their # 1 pick. Who does that ? That's just crazy. Yes, EJ has only played 10 NFL games, but he's still showing the same things he did in college with no improvement whatsoever. His inaccuracy is going to get our WR's killed out there. I'll tell you this, our extremely talented WR's will look great contorting themselves while trying to collect his errant passes and break up would-be interceptions.

I've seen many crappy Bills QB's in my 48 years and I know one when I see one - guys, we have a crappy QB.

What do you mean no improvement? He's only played 10 games.

I couldn't care less how many people say he sucks, it's not enough of a sample to determine that. He had a better 10 game stretch than some QB's to start their career.

When he sucks this season and makes no improvement then I'll agree .

The Bills are Terry's to lose...unless someone comes in w an LA CLIPPER type Bid...and even then Pegula may be able to match....

In his 10 NFL games, he's shown the same mistakes he made in college (forces throws into coverage trying to make a play. Short throws are low or wide, preventing receivers from making a play after the catch. Deep ball accuracy issues). He's still doing the same things that he did in 4 years of college. Combine that with the 10 NFL games and that's roughly 50 games of inaccuracy.

You can't teach accuracy. Either you have it, or you don't.

Too bad they won't move on to someone else, but I'll tell you what, I'd rather have a vet like Kyle Orton back there. Yes, I know, he's not the long-term answer, but I'd rather have him back there. This year, with the talent on this squad, all we need is a decent QB and we're probably playoff bound. Not with EJ though.

His inaccuracy led to a 58% completion percentage. Which is around what rookie QBs do. That's better than Dalton or Tannehill's rookie year

He had more TD's than INT's. Something that Tannehill couldn't do.

EJ has 2x the arm strength than Orton and more mobility. Orton is Ryan Fitzpatrick, who sucked here for 3 years as the starter

Also if accuracy can't be taught, then why do QB's comp % increase as they get more experience ?

Nick Foles a "3rd round talent"

Went from a 60% comp percentage 6TDs and 5INTs
To a 64% comp percentage 27 TDs and 2INT's

It's very naive and pessimistic to think Manuel won't be better

Based on 7 throws in one preseason game?
