Im worried ej will blow it but deep down somewhere i have faith he can be a serviceable qb. Hes playing the toughest, most important position in all of sports. Some qbs need to do some learning and growing. Besides the bills haven't really been in a position to nab a top tier qb in a draft for a long time.

The problem is that a "serviceable" QB only works if another facet of your game (usually defense) is great. I don't mean good, I mean utterly dominant. The Bills don't have that. Not even close. If that doesn't happen, your quarterback needs to be great to be in Super Bowl contention, which I have little faith Manuel will be.

Our defense ranked somewhere in the top 5 last year (dont remember exactly where). And there's alot of young talent on that side of the ball.
Edit: I was wrong top 10. But still trending upward.

Bills haven't anything but a serviceable QB since 1997... since that time the colts have found two franchise quality qbs. i guess you could say that Luck still has to prove it, but you have to admit it looks to be going that way. you have to suck or be lucky to get that type of qb. just sayin

They were at the bottom of the league against the run. They may have been top 5 in some category or another, but they were nowhere near top 5 overall. A top 5 defense is not that atrocious against the run.

Even if we had drafted a qb in the later rounds like wilson/kaepernick id say they'd have struggled too on this team.

And yet still a top 10 team in total ypg. Also, second in interceptions and sacks.

Manning maybe, but wilson has been lil more than a game manager who landed in the ideal situation.

I posted Tannehill and Dalton's rookie numbers compared to EJ's and they are incredibly similar. Both of whom took a big leap in year 2.

If he isn't at the 3000 yard 20 TD mark this year then he needs to be replaced

Right now, people just need to be patient

Drew Brees's Rookie numbers are very similar to Manuels as well.

with the defense we supposedly have now. a QB of their ilk should be alright on this team.. we have a few big play threats now too supposedly... it just all needs to be put together.

Eli Manning. The 17 INT per year Eli Manning? He is not great by any means.

if EJ can prevent turnovers and work the ball up the field the defense should be able to win the game.. like wilson

Avgs 25 attempts a game, 15/16 completions and 203 yds a game. He hasnt shown anything to say hes gonna be a perennial 5000 yrds/yr qb. Hes had a dominant defense and running game. Hes got it easy.
