Schenn plays best when he is paired with a mobile partner and plays a ton of minutes. Roll these 2 every other shift and I think they will be a solid top shutdown pair

Streit-Grossmann
Adequate 2nd pair, Streit also QBs the top pp unit

AMac-Alt
Should be ok a a 3rd pair at even strength and can work the point on the 2nd pp unit.

Its far from ideal, but I like it more than rushing Hagg, Morin or Ghost or signing MDZ

Serious question. If the Flyers wanted to sign Del Zotto right now would they get him on a one year cheap deal (I think we have 1.3 available if Pronger is on LTIR before the season) or do we let Kimmo retire and then use that extra 2M? And let's say he is signed is it:

Schenn literally played the least amount of minutes then any D man last year on the team. I can't see him given that kind of promotion.

You're right. That's probably the best we can do -- running Del Zotto out there, from what I see, isn't going to solve the Flyers' biggest issue: They need defensemen who can play defense AND skate, not a defensemen who can skate and...not defend.

This poop just gets so old. I just wanted a roster that gives the younger forwards the best opportunity to succeed. So, of course, one of the two best passers on the defense has a serious health condition.

I'm sorry, but an AMac/Streit pairing terrifies the living hell out of me -- and I like Mark Streit. I think he had a very strong season last year.

But Sweet Mother of God, there's no way that holds up over 82 games for a playoff team. I certainly want Kimmo Timonen to be healthy and to live his life, which is why I'm not discussing him with regard to being on the team.

But yeah. I'm sorry. I want this team to make the effing playoffs. Being in jeopardy of not making the playoffs in August...WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF
