Whoa, hired by his favorite team... that has to be exciting for him... and painful for Mr Simmons:

I'm sure NHL franchises are tripping over each other rushing to hire eye test guru Steve Simmons

Here's to hoping Kimmo has a quick and full recovery. Blood clots are nothing to mess around with.

i enjoyed this excerpt from the last paragraph of the story:

"The best teams in the NHL are the ones that pay attention to analytics, especially puck possession. These guys are right more than they’re wrong."

muahahahahahahaaha. ha.

I always liked Steve Simmons' Sunday column, but he really came off like a real dillhole in that whole spat with Dellow.

Haven't heard anything but Bellamare (I assume thats who you're talking about) was #41 in his swedish league so I assume thats what he'll be since Meszaros is longer around.

Edit: What # was Umberger when he was here? I can't remember.

41 is unavailable due to the recent league-wide retirement of the number in honor of eddie mio.

they are fcked without him, even at age 39

get well Kimmo

2nd time with clots, I wonder if he will have to take blood thinner for life

at a minimum it will be six months, so no way can he play until next Jan/Feb

I'm guessing he is finished with playing hockey

Vokun was sidelined for about 4 and a half months after his clot, so I guess it could be quite a while before he's back would be an aweful way to end his career. Both kimmo and Pronger going out on the LTIR.

He was always so defensive on The Reporters, too... like anytime one of the other guys disagreed with him, he's start stuttering and stammering and his head looked like it was going to explode on air.

Wow, what is most important is that Kimmo is ok. Secondary is the FACT that the Flyers organisation has a Vodoo curse on it. If he doesn't come back it is cap hell. Maybe good for Morin?
Again the most important thing is Kimmo gets better for his own sake.
