Gainey was a Habs legend, though.
His star faded away since then. - Pecafan Fan
I'll step back a bit to say that we, as a whole fanbase, are short-fused when it comes to keep our star players, and the last 2 regimes are responsable for that. Sorry if it sorts out like a language debate but really, there are way too many Habs coverage, way too much assumption and analysis nowadays and people are feeding on the negative.
Give Bergevin a break. He's doing fine. |

I don't see why. What moves has the guy made that turned out to be the wrong ones? Not many that I can think of. - hscesq
Exactly, so why... |

Indeed. Brière's signing was very bad and he fixed it. |

I'm not even sure what drama he's referring to.
please ban him for no less than 12 hours.
edit: but no more than 4. |

Bergevin is still in the infancy of his tenure i think, almost too early to be judged. it's true that there's not much to criticize him for but he also hasn't made many major moves to alter the landscape of the club. key pieces were pretty in place when he took over. he's being very patient and trying to re-build what was a pretty barren prospect pool, which i can appreciate. but that will take a long time. it's still nothing great. |

Habs will need to hire a team of sports psychologists that will help reconstruct PK's inner self that was destroyed by MB this summer. - stinger67

I'm not sure that would be fair. And you know very well, that I never ban anyone unless it's fair. |

PK seems savvy enough to handle the whole thing for what it was: business. nothing else. - DoubleDown
Exactly.
He's got more attitude than NWA.
I realllly doubt his feelings got hurt. |

attempt at lighting up the mood here,
Artturi Lehkonen is being kept off the ice with Team Finland at summer camp...he's out with a virus.
I don't know if that's only bad luck, but the guy hasn't skated in 2 development camps this far with the Habs, being kept out with injuries. Seems he has the constitution of a fruit fly. |

Give me Doughty, Weber or Keith six days a week and twice on Sundays.
To those guys, defense isn't something that when thought about is not just an afterthought. |

Maybe hurt feelings is too strong a term, but depending what was said it could linger in the back of his mind. Nobody likes to hear their flaws out loud, but 72 million takes away the sting. |
