i think you can't just isolate pressure when she's playing in Montreal. there are also more distractions. way more. i'm sure that affects concentration, preparation, etc.

She skipped Washington. So it was her first match in over two weeks.

So, she was rusty and nervous.
Bottom line one of the girls last night was there to win and the other was there not to lose. And Bouchard wasn't the one who was there to win.


(also, she lost in the first round 7 times this season)
