So with PK locked up long term, how long before MT gets fired? - fidopro

Habs will need to hire a team of sports psychologists that will help reconstruct PK's inner self that was destroyed by MB this summer. |

We will move on, Howard.
But as many hockey players and coaches and general managers say "It's not just about the end result, it's a process".
The process speaks volumes about why the end result was achieved. And I think that's all in this blog. - EricEngels
Guessing that you don't think the term "a means to an end" applies here? |

Then why do we have to criticize the way it went down? Obviously, both sides did what they needed to do, and they made it happen. - hscesq
well there's no point criticizing right now because it's done. but i think the criticism was justified on Friday with the way things were looking. |

Pierre Mcguire would have never gone down that road. |

The problem is that Bergevin dresses at Bouclair. |

Not THE reason, but he never gets a pass from day 1.
Never seen so much drama (based on assumptions and impressions and feelings) compared to the catastrophic moves à la Gomez.

In hindsight, absolutely. In the moment, of course not. It was all business until the doors closed on Friday and the hearing began. These guys aren't robots. How would he feel about the Habs willingness to trust him, respect him, etc if they weren't willing to give him an offer close to his market value over 8 years, and they'd rather go through with arbitration?
Meehan may see through it, and Meehan probably saw Subban through it. But he's a proud guy and so is Bergevin--by nature.
And in the end, we all agree that the best business prevailed. |

I don't see why. What moves has the guy made that turned out to be the wrong ones? Not many that I can think of. |
