It's a valid question. It's never happened. I used to bring an extra wood stick with me, but I stopped. I would just borrow one from someone to finish the game.

only skating I do now is getting on the ice two hours a week with a bunch of 6 year old kids most of whom are already better at hockey than me.

only game I play is the annual dads vs. kids game in which we routinely get clobbered.

I don't go looking around for exactly 100$ sticks. I said the most I ever spent was 100$.
And after I was so happy to get my most expensive stick I ever had, the first shift I had with it I got slashed on my stick and it broke in two...

I usually just buy what is on special.
