Make some ballsy moves. Montreal always seems to want to trade away thier junk. Sometimes you need to trade players who actually have value. AKA Plekanec. - mushalain1
Elaborate on these moves.
It's very easy to say make some balllllsy moves.
You can't even give us one move.
Not one. |

This.
Trade Pleks, ok but then there's a hole at centre. No one is giving us a better centre in a trade. |

Build through the draft and hope you can get decent trades here and there once in a while. |

Teams in sports make big moves with big time players. they don't wait until their value goes down to trade them or try.
A good example is Boston trading Kessel to Toronto. Or L.A trading for Richards & Carter. They have the "balls" to make these moves. While montreal never does unless the player is deemed a cancer or his skills are degrading. |

The only bold move they could make IMO is to trade Price. I don't consider trading Plek as a bold move.
Goalies are not that difficult to replace, compare to a #1 C or #1 D IMO. |

Agreed. Why not trade pleks with a draft pick/prospect for a Winger who has more offensive output.

Sure why not. The return on Price would be astronomical, and like you said Goalies can be replaced. Especially in Montreal where we never have long term issues finding one. |

Ok, I like that.
Who's that winger ?
Hope you realise that last year we had 2 players with 20+ goals on the team.
#67 and 14. |

Well, we're not connected like you are, but from here, you're wrong.
PK's agent as to get as much of the blame as MB IMO.
Pretty sure both made a step, from 8 to 9 and from 10 to 9, to find an agreement. The question is, why not do it prior to the arb meeting? - fidopro
it was a high stakes game of chicken on both sides. plain and simple. pk would have lived with the 5.5 had it gone that way but bergevin couldn't live with losing in arbitration and alienating pk and the fans. in the end, bergevin blinked first. |
