If I was Murray I would pass on Boudreau, think they'll get someone much younger. I never heard of the Babcock to UM rumor but I can't see the Wings parting with him just yet. He would be #1 choice here followed by Tippett/Arniel/Stevens.

I would be willing to try out a guy like Stevens or Arniel if they are ready. Obviously, I would prefer to have a Cup winning coach, but that will be tough to come by I am sure. If Boudreau is available, I'm assuming it's because the Ducks could not get over the hump and win a cup.

There has been only one in the modern era, Scotty Bowman. But your point is a valid one and maybe someone that has won cups, primarily as a player (Scott Stevens) would be the move to be made. It wouldn't surprise me if the Devils fire DeBoer that they'll promote Stevens.
