I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm laughing at Spatso quoting Hockeyinsiderr.

What are you going on about?

I think you guys are right out to lunch on this. Nobody has perfect information. For example, Cup 06 last year was off on the end result saying Alfredsson had resigned. So, everyone jumped all over him. But on review it is very clear he had a good sounding on what was coming out of the Ottawa camp. He had an opportunity to get an Ottawa perspective on the situation. Turns out Ottawa perspective on Alfredsson proved to wrong.

Hockeyinsiderr has been pretty good on his interpretation of all things Montreal. His background stuff is obviously influenced by the CH team perspective. But if you read it from that perspective it is clear the guy has a few good contacts. If you read his Subban stuff over the last few weeks it seems to align pretty closely with Bergevins thinking. But, Bergevin did not get it to go this way.

So, when he writes that Habs, Sens, Leafs, Canucks and Ducks are chasing Kane. I believe it means someone close to Montreal management believes that those are teams in the hunt. If you can't read rumor information contextually why would participate in a rumor blog? Just follow MacKenzie until the story breaks in final form. Why waste your time following something that you have predetermine as not being of interest? Or, do you just have a higher level of confidence in the Eklund rumors?

Oh right. Couldn't tell. Thought he just saw Leafs in my name and went all spazzy, like most do on HB.

If we are being totally honest, you, me, many others on this site could write 'rumours' that don't come true.

It's easy, Kane wants out. First question we'd do is where is he from? Vancouver. So boom there's my first rumour. Make up a trade that seems fair-ish
Secondly, who has cap room? Arizona, Anaheim, Ottawa, San Jose and Minnesota. They'd be my next blogs/tweets. Next I'd chose someone who needs a top 6 winger. Again, Ottawa, Vancouver, Anaheim would be the top 3 I'd imagine.
So I'd sit in my basement tweeting 'breaking trade talks' between these 3 teams and Winnipeg. I'd probably add Toronto, Montreal and Philly for viewership and go from there.

Yup. Only Leafs fans. That's why I'm excited to see the Stanley Cup finally come back to Canada, via the Ottawa Senators.

Any team that has the top 6th-8th centre in the entire league. The sniper that is Ryan, the best dman in the league, a 1A/1B goaltending tandem, the best under 25 core in the league, CORSI gods such as MacArthur and Condra and Giroux, nope sorry, Pageau (always get those two mixed up) should have no problem emerging from the East.

It will be tough for them against whichever team comes out of the West, but, I must say, after reading the comments over the past two weeks, I am now fairly confident Ottawa brings that cup home.

so is that how it works? you take the opinions of a couple of "misguided" sens fans, and paint everyone with that brush.

maybe we should take the opinions of all the misguided leaf fans, and write a similar post......although it would likely be a novel, and given some of the unbelievable poop i've read on leaf threads, you'd probably end up in tears, requiring years of therapy after reading.

just off the top of my head........getzlaf, bergeron, toews, duchene, johansen, seguin, datsyuk, kopitar, tavares, giroux, crosby, malkin, thornton, stastny, stamkos, sedin, backstrom, couture......and i'm sure there are atleast 4-5 more who i'm not thinking of.

i would put him in a group with guys like kesler, staal, rnh, backes, etc.

I would put him over Johansen at present (though Johansen will be better when fully matured), and would rather have him than Backstrom easily.

I'd rather have him than Sedin, too, but that is more of a personal preference than anything else.
