LEafs fan are crazy about that 2016 season.... hope they get nothing lolll the organisation dont know what to do anymore to build a winning team... they use twiiter and other social plateform to put thing in people heads so that the player see it and think about it and they hope it will happen...
is that the way you build a team ? NO ! u need to draft them simple as that...

some journeyman's rules for hockeybuzz (or i guess any hockey site with internet people on it)
all the teams i don't like are horrible at hockey, and they players suck, UNLESS they might move to a different team which would hurt the team i don't like; then they are good (but only if they leave).
No current player is as good as any player from 15 years+ ago, unless the player is on my team.
My team has the best players, but due to random acts of man and god, havent been able to produce to their staggering potential.
acts such as:
a) referees disliking/being born away from my team's city
b) dirty cheating other players , or injuries caused by them
c) bad coaching (but still better coaching than all the other teams
Any 'success' by another team in terms of standings, playoff depth, drafting is to be 'goldfished' (forgotten within 15 seconds of occurrence); the only exception to this is as the only reason reason a team has done well that isn't my team. (liberal doses of misconduct claims, for example 'Pittsburgh only has all those good players because they lost on purpose/sold their good players)
Giving credit to another team is only permitted if/when used to disparage to a different team, for example: 'Detroit drafts amazingly well in the later rounds, compared to Montreal.' followed by, preferably in the same thread 'Detroit sucks so many balls.'
Any player who has ever a) been in my team's city. b) expressed liking my teams primary colour at any time in life c) is considered a star player or d) may or may not have one time been known to be in the same rink as a player from my team in a non-nhl game ; will, at some point, be on my team. |

the way this is being handled seems foolish to me. Aside from Price, Subban is their MVP and to d!ck him around like this seems almost Milburyish.
If he's asking for 8.5, don't counter with 5.25. Sign him to a 7-8 year deal and get it done. If he asks for a trade at some point or even worse, if he takes what they give him for the next two years and walks, the Habs lose a major asset for nothing.
Screwing around like this only hurts the relationship between player and team. - Isles_since_6
While I agree with you that its foolish he hasn't signed yet either, there is alot you have misunderstood.
5.25M is NOT a counter offer (PLEASE PEOPLE STOP SAYING THIS)... it's Montreal's arbitration number, which means its the lower end of what the arbitrator can award Subban. By giving a low number (keeping in mind he's an RFA), the arbitrator usually awards between the team's and the player's number, if MTL gave a higher arbitrator number, he'd be getting more money automatically.
Mtl WILL NOT lose him in two years from this arbitration to UFA. Since he requested the arbitration, MTL gets to choose the term of the contract and they've already picked one year, so at the very least we can do this again next year ((frank) no).
Do you guys honestly believe arbitration hearings hurt peoples feelings??? I've never believed this. You have to be a pretty big wussy to not be able to take an arbitration hearing and not very professional if you don't understand its business. I'm convinced that's media driven, because these are grown men... not (frank)ing babies

I don't think Nyquist is the next Zetterberg, he's more like the next Zack Parise. Not as good of an all around player as Zetterberg, but nothing to slouch at either. Probably not going to carry the Wings on his back like Zetterberg has been know to do at times but a great contributor.
