Well they are well into their 30's....the wrong side of 30. The difference between this scenario and the Yzerman, lIdstrom one...was they had Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Kronwall to build off of.....now....not so much.

Kenny Holland will step down as GM by season's end....he doesnt have the desire to "blow his team up" but another GM will have no problem doing it.

For (frank)s sake, Dats, Lidstrom, and Zetterberg were drafted into the 100-200's pick range. Didn't come into the world's spotlight into their mid-late 20's as elite. Only time will tell.

Good thing Wings prospects are straight.

They might not be, but who's to tell? They have barely broken into the NHL yet and are getting better and better. For (frank)s sake, Dats, Lidstrom, and Zetterberg were drafted into the 100-200's pick range. Didn't come into the world's spotlight into their mid-late 20's as elite. Only time will tell.

He looks like he's done and told us he felt " a lot of pressure this year"....he seemed very stressed out....I've seen him regularly over the last 15 years.....I've never seen him look like this before...just saying.

Holland should take an easier job or retire, most Wings fans agree. I stand by the Babcock stays aspect. Guess we'll wait and see. Everyone thought you were on drugs for saying Winnik is signing with the Leafs, so who knows?

Sure those guys are just prospects, but like I said the Detroit system is rated one of the best in the entire league right now.

But they also have young guys that are either in the NHL and contributing or are ready to make the jump. Nyquist put up almost 30 goals in 50-something games last year. Tatar, Dekeyser, Smith, these guys are young and already contributing at a high level in the NHL.

And again, Zetterberg and Kronwall are only 33....they still have a good 5 years of great hockey left. You're writing them off way too early.

To be fair, Nyquist's shooting percentage was extremely high last year. I say he'll be a mid thirties goal scorer during his peak years.
