I cannot believe a defenseman who scored 53 points (reg season) is trying to get north of $8Mil a season. He's not better than Weber or Doughty. I don't care that they "gave" him the Norris. He's a great young player but not worth the title of Highest paid Dman EVER. His agent deserves a bronze statue if he's awarded more than $6.5Mil.

I'm not sure why you put gave in quotation marks...did they "give" the cup to chicago, or the rocket to Ovechkin?

Just for comparison's sake they both play wing, are about the same size. Parise had 1 goal and 7 assists more than NyQuist last year in 10 more games.
