My memory may be off, but wasn't MTL the team that was trying to trade up in that draft to take Morin?

Looking back, the price for Pronger with the Flyer's current roster and system would look something like this.

Vinny L, Sanheim and the next 2015/2016 1st round picks. Keeping in mind Lupul was a much younger salary dump. Too much or too little for Subban?

- Baxter27

Too little.

Coburn to give them a top pairing defender in the short term. BSchenn to give them a young, top 6 center with reasonable size. Morin to possibly give them a top pairing defender in the long term. And yes, Morin was the guy they were after at the draft.

I wonder which team it was that made the post-pick trade offer for Sanheim... MTL, too?

I do that but Streit would need to be added to cancel out cap hit. I also think they would want one our French Canadians

I don't think Montreal takes it, just calling out how good of a deal it was for Pronger. Homer gambled perhaps over paying quantity wise to hold back the quality he wanted.

If I'm Montreal, I ask for Couturier, Morin, Coburn and Hagg. and I don't budge for anything less.

Since we've been arguing over stats most of the day can anyone hunt down how L Schenn's changed after Macdonald? My eyes tell me Luke played better with Macdonald.

Definitely noticed that as well. I'm sure the stats will tell another story though.

Since you brought up Fat Schenn, he's got to be the odds on favorite for "Player Left on the Roster that Berube would most like to strangle" now that Hartnell is gone, correct?

46.7% together | 44.2% apart

Granted they were only together for 171:37min, so take it for what it's worth. Will be interesting to see if that trend holds up over the long haul, though, because AMac killed just about everybody else he touched.

Looks like you can actually step into it... wonder if there's a counter, an old whiskey tango waitress and a toothless guy on the grill waiting inside.

I didn't realize we were handing out that title, but yeah probably would go to him.
Don't think that will fit on a jersey. Catchy though.

Wasn't making a suggestion of the price to pay for Subban. More so matching the price paid for Pronger based on what is in the Flyers System has today.

I was just remembering the healthy scratches he went through early last year.

I just hope he comes to camp, ready to go.

Grossmann makes me a lot angrier when he can't connect with a routine outlet pass causing an unforced icing.

Rinaldo and Vinny L are also safe dog house bets.

Wait....was there a shot of him partying in a suit, post game, with his hockey helmet still on after a big victory????? Or did I imagine that?

Already, I want to be friends with this guy.

Looks like he's got a nice shot. Granted, against Swedish competition goaltending wise, but you never know.

Wasn't sure if some of it is in fast forward at times but he looks like he has quick instincts with and with out the puck. A quick release as well.

Thanks for posting this. That goal at 1:35 was absolutely sick. I'm looking forward to seeing what this guy can do for our bottom 6

He's got some slick hands. That goal at 1:35 is pretty nice.
