I swear he did it in Edmonton because he had to....but partially I think he really enjoys grinding down agents. Some of the agents stories about him are legendary. One agent met with him in a hotel Lobby. Says Slats stared at the contract for an hour, glancing at the agent occasionally to give him an unsatisfied glare...and didn't say a word the whole time.

That sounds like a Glen Sather story. Anybody who sits like this at an away playoff game must have tons of stories like that.

He certainly has his flaws as a GM but I will admit he seems very intimidating at a negotiating table

He kind of reminds me of donald trump for some reason.

He's the last true "Old School" GM. Longest tenured too...and never been fired. That's saying something for sure.

Give him his raise and sign Marc long-term. 5 or 6 at 5.75 AAV works for me. Do not include a NMC or NTC clause, though.

Staring to get that complex that nobody reads what I write as said similar in the blog.

People just repeat, re-iterate, and regurgitate
Things that others and themselves have said.
Have you not noticed?

Sometimes we have very limited time too at work to be on here & just do a quick skim of the comments to see whats going on. I know I do.

Love all Mafia related movies shows, been recently catching up on old Sopranos episodes. Re-watching it again I forgot so much great poop on there, funny too, I swear its a borderline comedy at times.

Christopher, that episode is called "Pine Barrens" def one of the best. And one of many unexplained things, what the hell ever happened to that Russian guy who got shot? Clearly he wasn't dead but it was never brought up again.

Looked like he was clipped in the head & goes down, but when they get to that spot nothing, just a trail of blood that stops in the middle of nowhere, creepy.

But the humor in that episode too like where its late & they're freezing & starving & Paulie finds the ketchup packets & hoards them. Chris goes to piss outside & Paulie is like "OOOOHHHH, piss by your own window."

That's always funny sh!t, with the mispronounced words & all. "He killed 16 Checeslovokians, guy was an interior decorator"-Paulie. Meanwhile what Tony really said to him, "This guy is some kind of Russian Commando, he killed 16 Chechnyans with his bare hands, he was in the interior defense."

Dan Girardi is here to stay. They gave him a NMC, and a broken stick in overtime of game 1 of the Finals isn't going to make them change their minds.

I didn't want to say that i want him gone but be honest, when you have a chance to trade him for a guy like subban you just do it, that was more what i ment, like when the penguins offer you malkin for brassard, that is not saying i want brassard gone..
