I was digging around some other Corsi stuff and the whole Staal was a drag on Stralman's Corsi thing is the exact same thing as saying that Muzzin was a drag on Doughty's Corsi. Doughty's CF% was lower away from Muzzin and Muzzin's was higher away from Doughty. I guess Muzzin is the true defender on that pairing and Doughty is only successful because of Muzzin?

probably just keeping money available in case an opportunity arises. Moore doesn't have to be signed until training camp actually starts, he has no leverage. Sather don't play when he has the leverage.

Not really anymore. He ponied up for Mcdonagh, Girardi, Lundqvist, Brassard. But you are right in a sense. He's much tougher on RFA's without arbitration rights. I believe Hagelin and Stepan have arbitration rights next year. I assume both will be paid handsomely.

I swear he did it in Edmonton because he had to....but partially I think he really enjoys grinding down agents. Some of the agents stories about him are legendary. One agent met with him in a hotel Lobby. Says Slats stared at the contract for an hour, glancing at the agent occasionally to give him an unsatisfied glare...and didn't say a word the whole time.
