Honestly there are very few players in the league who would. Many heavy weights have opted out of fights with Martin.

Why would heavy weights fight if it provides no benefit to their team when they're already up 3-0 against you guys?

In all fairness Islanders usually win when they are down by 3 goals. If they are up by 3 goals, well that's a different story.

even though it was a dumb penalty at the time, I love this one

I was worried at the time because the Rangers really needed that win. But looking back on it, it's wonderful. Kreider just flicks Upshall away like a gnat at a bbq.

Will he also sit out the year due to his back, ala Noel and his knee.

Honestly, I don't care about the NBA. Only basketball worth watching is March Madness due to the waging benefits.

Most likely...Sam Hinkie already hinted that the team would take the long term approach with Embiid. I am fine with it, tank again and get another high draft pick. It is gonna take another 2-3 years but I am pumped for the future of the team.

I think we need to look at the situation of whether or not JT Miller can replace Brad Richards production. As overpaid as he was, Richards was still good for ~50 points. Can Miller reach that total in what will likely be his first rookie season? The obvious answer is probably not.

But, I think that's the wrong question. The correct question should be can MSL and Miller's combined production come close to, equal, or surpass Richards and Callahan's combined production. I think the answer to that is that they have to potential to at least come close to it if not surpass it.

One of the biggest knocks of the Rangers offseason is that they haven't found a replacement for Richards' points. But those same critics forget that we now have a full season of MSL. Our top 9 is the same as last year's only with Miller in for Richards and MSL in for Cally, with Miller being a probable downgrade to Richards and MSL being an upgrade to Callahan. I think the deficit in Miller and Richards point production will be made up by the surplus in MSL and Callahan's production.

Add in the fact that Boyle will definitely outproduce Stralman and the new depth forwards should do AT LEAST as good as Brian "Uncapable of Scoring" Boyle and I think we're in pretty good shape production-wise, especially if John Moore and Ryan McDonagh develop more offensively and Nash regains his scoring form.

I think Brassard needs to put up Richards points, and Miller or the 3rd line center needs to put up the 45 that Brassard put up last year. (We're talking regular season, we know Brassard is good for 12 points in the playoffs)

Miller has to make the team this season...otherwise not sure he will last with the organization. Seems like they are gift wrapping that 3rd line center roll with a nice bow on top. If he can't step up and take it now, not sure they give him another chance. I hope he takes it and succeeds.

They've apparently made him aware of his opportunity and have all the faith in his abilities, it's funny how a lot of Rangers fans are down on a 21 year old that hasn't even had the chance at a meaningful role on this team, from day one he's shown tremendous poise, the same goes for Conner Allen, I think we're taken care of when it comes to 1st call ups or next man up situations

The only thing with JT is he's not a bottom 6 guy, he's top 6. I guess with Stepan and Brass the 1C and 2C are taken so his max is 3C (unless Brass poops the bed). I don't know if he can prove himself effectively as a 3C but I guess with a wing pair of Hags and MSL he should be able to. My only concern is it seems like the organization has some issues with him off ice? anyone have any info on that?

That one's simple.. injuries set him back.. he's progressed quite well but those knee injuries hurt him. if he was able to play full seasons he'd be in the lineup as a 6D already

Miller basically didn't put the time in to earn a roster spot. AV specifically cited how JT Miller showed up to skate with the team only the day before training camp opened last summer while everybody else showed up and skated together for 2 or 3 weeks to prepare.

I would hope that Miller is the first guy back and ready to skate with the boys this year. Miller making the team would be great. His grit and offensive skill would be huge on the 3rd line and he has the talent to play in the top 6 if needed.

A Flyers fan today said that he's been watching the World Junior scrimmages and that he literally had no clue who Duclair was a few days ago and now Duclair is one of the best noticeable and standout players in camp. Kids a stud
