Reports everywhere of Mtl offering 5 mil per?
That's a joke... Why would they even want to remotely piss I guy off who has as much talent as PK.
Leafs fans would love to see PK come here... so would Islanders and Flames fans. It's just a bit of fun relax.
I'd be more worried about how much worse your team is this year than last... - Liger4

Crosbys dad was drafted by the Habs
Its documented that Crosbys fav team growing up was the Habs - MTL1
This is true, but he's never coming to the Canadiens.
Also, PK is great friends with JT and Stamkos. Can we get them too? That would be swell lol. |

Hahaha
Like Lupul and Booth!
I kid the Leafers.
I'm hoping the Tigers can get one more decent bullpen P and get Scherzer to take his 23 mill per year deal and keep the olde English D on his hat for years to come! How good a deal does Fielder for Kinsler look right now. Wow. - SmielmaN
I thought the Fielder signing was crazy to begin with. That was nice move dumping his giant ass. |

And how many games did he play for the Habs Cool. He was a fan of the team. That has nothing to do with someone coming home like Lebron. |

By all this hometown rationale - Morgan Reilly will be off to Vancouver as soon as he gets a chance and Nylander will stay in Sweden and Kessel and JVR are going to force themselves back to the States |

I agree. I think we are better. Jettisoned the small guys, gorges, picked up a 2nd line winger in PA. Better fourth line center. I think we just need to move Moen and Budaj (and maybe Pleks or DD for Chucky to take 2nd line C) and we will be in good shape. Playoff team IMO. Not a powerhouse but top 3 in the division should be attainable. |

Ok, maybe not much worse- but certainly not better losing Vanek and Gorges.
Parenteau could be good for you, ... but the conference got better, IMO Habs not so much.

Correct - Moen and Budaj have become expendable - will be a good learning year for Nathan and Tinordi |

I agree that Booth has potential to be your Raymond this year. But he must, MUST stay off the IR. 20 goal potential. MDZ, he needs to have a couple bounce back years IMO. - SmielmaN
Booth scoring 20 would help ease the pain of watching Clarkson.
MDZ isn't finished, needs to find a good home and find his game.
He should look to WPG. |

Are you serious? Vanek, Gionta, Gorges, Briere
Gorges>Gilbert
Gionta>Malhotra
Vanek>every addition by a longshot.
Sekek(actually was a very good signing)>Briere |

For sure. I liked it at the time to take pressure off Miggy but after sitting around .260 and not hitting 30+ Dingers it was hoping they could trade him. I didn't think it could pull in Kinsler but the Tigers have a pretty capable GM |

Booth was worth a shot at that price, play him with Santorelli and you could see a decent season from him IMO. Liked both of those deals for you guys, plus Winnik as well. |

Vanek was good in the regular season but was not effective in the playoffs - thats why the Habs did not pursue him
Gorges was replaced by Gilbert - who can bring the offense and will be better on the 2nd PP unit - much better than Gorges in that spot
Giving a couple kids on D a shot will be good - both Gallys will get more responsibility this year |

Sorry to break it to you but Vanek not returning makes Montreal a worse team. Gilbert isn't better than Gorges maybe on the PP. What about the PK and leadership? |

Lets fix your brackets
Vanek disappeared in the playoffs
Malhotra > White
Parenteau - Briere - lets call it a wash
Gilbert on the PP > Gorges

This is THE year for one, or both, of those kids to really show they can deliver on their potential. I feel that Beaulieu will shine brighter this year and prob see 2nd PP time as the season progresses. Tinordi just has to hit, block shots, and be mean. I'll be happy if he can do that. |
