Why would Stamkos leave Tampa? They have a butt ton of good young players and prospects, finally became competitive last year, got way better this summer, and are only going to keep getting better... |

Chances of subban are slim. Expecially if he signs long term. The chance of Stamkos is decent. But getting Babcock is very real. Only a few teams will be able to compete with the contract they will offer him. - JVR_42_PK81
The only reason Babcock will only go to coach the Leafs is if he wants the challenge (and he is the kind of guy who likes a challenge).
Other teams probably won't offer him as much money as the Leafs, but they'll offer him close enough. And he's not the kind of guy that's going to make a decision like that just based on money. |

Bingo. I have Tampa as Cup contenders this year, barring injuries of course. |

I certainly hope not
But srsly hope the contract term is shorter than 5 years
Subban is a huge d bag. I would love to have his skill on the team but I still would hate him whatever team he is on. - JVR_42_PK81
It's kinda funny cause if Subban came to Toronto he could possibly become more of a lightning rod than Dion. Tho that lightning rod would contain much less hate. |

Stamkos wants recognition (see all the new commercials he's in)
Stamkos wants to play for the true Blue and White.
I really hope the best for the Lightning and Stamkos for the next 2 years. |

Del Zotto may end up being the UFA steal of the summer.
P.K. Should take a two year deal and then bounce out of MTL.
He hates M.T. And for good reason... - Byfuglien Ate Me

I agree with you but if this does turn out to be a 1 or 2 year deal I think he will bounce as a UFA. |

Put it however you want. If it goes to arbitration and he doesn't want to sign with Montreal, do you really think they'll let him play out his contract? |

No, MB decided to offer only one year if it goes to arbitration, already settled.
So its one year or long term. |

Nothing to see here. Please disperse. If the Blues don't win the Cup this year (or come damn close to it) Hitch will be gone and Babcock will be behind the Blues' bench. |

That's a good joke but if he wants to become most marketable players in the nhl he needs to play with the Leafs in his prime. - LeafsOneBillion
