I am assuming the question is presented as if each of the players were about to be drafted into the NHL?

If so, as a Flyer fan, it pains me to say Crosby. I know he is only 5'11 but the dude has sequoia trees for legs. Stronger than he looks. He has all the tools. I know he whines to the refs, but that's my only gripe with the guy.

As much as I love me some Weber and Doughty, unless their is a second coming of Bobby Orr, you don't start a team with defense. Can't win games 0-0. Gotta have a guy who can put it in the net on a nightly basis.

It's hard to disagree with your argument. Nashville is built around Weber and have gotten nowhere. I like Doughty a lot but aside from Williams clutch play that won him the Conn Smyth, Drew Doughty is prone to being sucked into nonsense and taking the odd bad penalty, which I feel hurt his chances of winning. Doughty is lucky to have the supporting cast he does, otherwise he wouldn't be doing any better (If at all) then what Shea Weber has to work with in Nashville.

I certainly agree that you need a supporting cast. But in my view, Doughty might arguably the best defenseman in the NHL.

So might Shea Weber without a supporting cast. I for one am dying to see Weber get traded to a contender to see his impact.

I wouldn't disagree with Weber at all. He's right there.

Flyers general manager Ron Hextall gave the following injury update on goaltender Steve Mason

"Steve Mason broke his right pinky finger playing hockey in Oakville, Ontario on Sunday, July 27. Mason will miss approximately two (2) weeks of on-ice training but will continue with his off-ice training."

Do we have a first rounder this year, and what is his corsi?

Apparently male butt grabbing does go down to well, lol. Other than that I am sure he would have been considered in the top 10 anyway. He gets my vote!
