Numerous reports say #Astros have traded Jarred Cosart to #Marlins.

Phillies traded him as part of package for Pence. Now he will torment us for years.

Amaro does have a ring. Holmgren has spent 35 years in the NHL as a player, coach, and Executive.... What's his tally? He struck out.

Exactly. Gillick was the mastermind there.

- Giroux_Is_God

Exactly -- I don't fault him for Howard, Utley, Rollins getting old, Halladay and Lee running out of bullets. That stuff happens.

What I blame him for is the ridiculous lack of prospects that the team has to push for jobs -- I mean, seriously. They're playing 58-year-old Marlon Byrd because he's that much better than anything else they've got.

That's the tragedy of the Ruben Amaro Jr. era. Not that the core got old, but because he couldn't support them enough when they were still viable and doesn't have any alternatives now that they're about finished.

Its really scary thinking about the young arms all of the teams in the NL East have except the Phillies.

This is legitimately setting up as a significant dark era for the Phillies. Even a good GM wouldn't be able to turn this thing around for at least 3 years.

Amaro aquired a team that got him that ring, then destroyed it. He didn't earn it

Not arguing that. He does have hardware though.

Sorry -- better than fighting about some of the stuff we do, though. It's TDL day; not much more to say about baseball after, but it's cool when aces like Lester and Price get moved.

Ha! Yeah, except I can clearly see the Flyers' future. As PSG has noted -- correctly, I feel -- it's gonna get bad, real bad, at the Bank

Jeffrey Loria. Not to be confused with the Eagles owner.

Marlins have some really good young arms though. They may have an entire rotation of guys who throw in the mid 90s

Ok, the first picture was cool.

This is the single, douchiest picture ever.

Right up to and including the tattoo, which I believe is the ancient Asian symbol for "bag filled with douche".

The Phillies didn't lose 10,000 games for no reason. They're managed by turds.
