Bingo . Where there is blue now , make it black . That's the only change I would like . Keep white logo names numbers and lightning bolt on pants and keep white in socks . It would look very sharp

What if the Yzerplan actually doesn't include Stamkos? What if Stamkos to Toronto IS the plan? Think about it! Stamkos is an offensive dynamo, but he's not spectacular (not bad either) at the defensive side of it. What if Yzerman is targeting players more like Filppula, Palat, and Johnson great all-around players? Imagine the return at the 2016 trade deadline if they don't get him signed! This team plays a style offense and defense that is five-man orientated, not a team that has one superstar and a bunch of plugs.

the return will stink at the 2016 trade deadline! we need to find out in june 2015 if stamkos has interest in signing in tampa for the long term! his no move clause kicks in july 2015! But i'm sorry the lightning need to resign stamkos! he is the best player this team has ever had! he is the second best player in the nhl behind crosby. The damage of losing stamkos could cost vinik a lot of money! will the arena stay full ? his channelside plans might suffer! will people go to channelside before and after the games ? will anyone on the lightning score 30 or more goals next year besides stamkos ?

That team was full of stop gap and fringe NHL players and they happened to get hot at the right time. Yzerman's best work of 2011 was drafting Palat, Kucherov, and if he can stay healthy Namestnikov.

It's laughable that this is even an article and that you "Die Hard Lightning Fans" Would prefer the team today rather than a 2011 team that was Stanley Cup ready, with players with a synergy like Marty, Vinny, Stammer, and the Bergenheim's, Purcell's, and Thompson's. They key to that team was leadership, wanting to perform in front of the leader's like Marty and Vinny.

Let's face it guys, the coach was better, the team was better, the entire front office was better in 2011. But for some reason Vinik keeps drinking the Yzerman Kool Aid, and you fans keep shoveling the propaganda cereal into your gullets year in and year out.

After next year Stamkos is gone, and you can rely on those "promising first round picks" to deliver for you. Superstars in the making right?
