Doughty had 4 years of RFA left, Subban only has 2, and it's a different CBA and higher cap
- ehabs9

you guys may be the only fans of any team rooting for their player to actually get as high a cap as possible

Even Chara. He's still good but starting to get pretty old.

So according to you, he's not worthy to be in their company but should get paid more than they do?
- elcabong

Yep, they all signed their contracts before cap went up, TV deals signed, etc. Figure it out... Crosby is the best player in the league, but guys are going to be making more than him by the time his contract is up.

we're not rooting for a high cap hit. we're rooting for a long-term deal. we're simply expecting a high cap hit, and we're explaining why it will be high because the amount of whining that we're going to see when he signs it will be unfathomable.

Karlsson... i don't think you can really compare Karlsson to any other defencemen. but OEL and Seabrook over Subban? you're going to be alone on that one.

- DoubleDown

Seabrook might be a stretch. OEL is sick man...

Yeah, Chara is ripe for a trade to some God forsaken part of the land where teams don't make the playoffs, so he can end the season and go home early.

I'm not rooting for it, I'm just explaining why arguments like "how can he make more than 7 when Doughty only get's 7?" don't make any sense.

they're going to really stick to managing his minutes. hopefully a healthy Seidenberg can keep Chara around 20 a game in the regular season.

Chara was #2 in Norris voting... PK was #14. Too big of a gap to even debate.

Another issue is coaching and how PK feels about the current coaching situation Montreal. We saw last year and the plows how PK grew frustrated by his playing time or situation she was being put into

um, what?

This is like the 10th time he's written this. Ek seems convinced that Subban hates Therrien's guts....

Eklund buys into this because he hates Therrien because Therrien had the AUDACITY not to play Daniel Briere 19 minutes per night on the top 2 lines.
