McDonagh never played the powerplay under Torts, Subban has been feasting on the powerplay since his first game in the NHL

I am not saying that is anyone's fault, but you guys are comparing their entire careers offensively, when I am telling you Torts had McDonagh on a total defensive leash and didn't let him go

would you shut up already? you're proving nothing. future production is all that will settle this so give it a rest.

And I'm telling you Martin had Subban (and everyone else on the team) handcuffed to the goal post. I'm sorry but any argument about systems during their first years in the league is a non-factor. Jacques Martin is the Anti-Christ to scoring goals and offensive zone play.
- ehabs9

Subban played one season under Martin, had 9 goals and 9 assists on the powerplay in his rookie season. My point couldn't be made any stronger.

2 seasons.

Unless you're counting the fact that Randy Cunneyworth took over for the second half of one as a boost to PK's offensive allowance.

I understand that when you are losing an argument and have nothing intelligent to say that people hide behind words like "shut up already"

you guys like to say sarcastic things, one Habs fan reponds to somebody's post with a laughing face and you guys act like a little gang, but I do expect some more hockey knowledge from a fanbase with such a distinct history

1 year deal:

$5-6M range-- insulting (especially after taking the deal he did)
$6-7M range-- starting point. fair but not what he's fully worth (^)
$7-7.25M range-- this would be good for MTL. very possible, unlikely
$7.25-7.75M range-- this is where a 8 year deal makes the most sense
$7.75-8M range-- this is starting to get into over payment
$8M+-- over-payment (compared to the rest of Dmen in the league)

No, but it will be pretty hard to afford Stamkos and Subban really.

The thing is we don't know what Habs are offering to PK and what are PK's demand.

Reimer sucked the last part of the season but overall has had a pretty good start to his career.
- Yeti1181

In all fairness to Reimer - the whole team sucked down the stretch.

As a goalie, there's a huge difference knowing that while you may be required to make some big saves, the team will also do their best to bail you vs. knowing that if you give up 2 goals, chances are you're going to loose. Your mindset is different and you play a slightly different game.

This isn't a vote of confidence of Reimer over Bernier at all, very far from it.

Scrivens still played really well after coming to Edmonton and Fasth was injured for a lot of it but still played well once coming over. I have always maintain that I thought Scrivens would be better then Reimer over the long run.
