well ultimately we are talking about a player that you guys are defending should be give 9 million plus a year.

for that money he shouldn't be exhausted after the second round of the playoffs

- jimbro83

I don't think he was physically exhausted. They'd just spent all their emotional investment.

If you were arguing McDonagh is in better shape than PK, I'll take that bet any day of the week in favour of PK.

None of us have offered him that much money. We could never amass such asum even if we went to the bank begging.

I didn't say you guys were offering it, I said you guys are defending him requesting it

WADR - maybe get an intern or co-op or someone to proof-read these blogs over a couple pages or ones that are non-bullet-pointed? Hard to make out the thought process in a couple of the paragraphs...generally agree with a lot that is written on Subban, just really hard to get through. I don't say this to criticize, rather as a "suggestion box" of sorts...and it's with full respect so don't ban me please.

Market wise.... it's probably what he'll get. Yes.

"Still...would you rather have Chara or PK with the playoffs they both had ? - BashCH

"Please rate the two during their 2014 playoff series against one another" - MTL1

Never said you said it, still part of the conversation. Now go back to bed.

There's always the argument that Pittsburgh stunk, and Boston were beasts.
- ehabs9

Ok...now compare Tampa and Boston vs Flyers and Pens. Tell me then who had the tougher road.

Not really sure why you guys think you have any grounds to downgrade the Rangers accomplishments last spring.

Ok. I think you've made your point pretty clear that you like Mcdonagh more than Subban.

Some here clearly disagree with you.

Doesn't make your or their opinions any less valid.

he'd be the first defenseman ever to be paid 9 million a year, so how does the market already say he should get it?

It seemed to go away for a couple of years..... I feel it's back now.

But hey, the good news is that we're talking about 2 great rivals having good teams at the same time for the first time in..... god dare I say decades?

- Scabeh

yup. one or the other hasn't been really a top team. it is fun.

dude this is why the expos need to come back and play in the AL east.

We're explaining why he's going to have a larger cap hit than Doughty etc.

That's all.

I haven't seen anyone do that.

Habs should have matched the Rangers intensity during the conferance finals and they didn't.

End of story.

...and I saw a team totally out of place in the playoffs. Better luck next time.

I'm sure Eklund would blame this on Therrien somehow.

McDonagh might be one of the most overrated players in the game. he's sheltered by the stfiling, conservative way the Rangers play. he was utterly and completely exposed once the Rangers faced a great team in LA. also, your quote about him being in better shape makes you sound incredibly gay.

I really don't even think overall there is a comparison

McDonagh has become just as good as Subban is offensively and Subban isn't even in the same universe as McDonagh is defensively

10 points in 6 games against the Habs kinda contradicts that.
