honestly, I saw a player huffing and puffing the entire conference final in Subban, and besides being world's better defensively than Subban, McDonagh also added 10 points in 6 games.

I'll give you that McDonagh played an overall better conference final than Subban did.

But nobody could have stopped PK vs Boston.

...and I saw a team totally out of place in the playoffs. Better luck next time.

i really think there was an emotional let down from the habs after the bruins series.

if the excuse for Subban vs the Rangers is he was tired because of Boston, McDonagh was just coming off a 7 game series win vs Pittsburgh where he led the series in icetime.

Emotional and physical. Playing the Bruins is way tougher than playing the Pens.

There's always the argument that Pittsburgh stunk, and Boston were beasts.

First, I'm not looking for excuses.

Second, I think Fountain is bang on. The whole team's intensity dropped after winning against Boston. Subban included. And they obviously couldn't afford it against a team like the Rangers.

Well, if any fan of hockey thinks Pittsburgh has been a better team than Boston the last few years, they're idiots.

no dog in this fight. i just think, and to their detriment, the goal of the 2013-14 habs in the playoffs was to beat the bruins. gravy after that.

well ultimately we are talking about a player that you guys are defending should be give 9 million plus a year.

for that money he shouldn't be exhausted after the second round of the playoffs

Just for you....
"We do this to them quite often in the playoffs. Just ask Don Cherry... "

In my comment above, pray tell where I mention either Chara or Subban? Now get some rest, you need it.

- elcabong

"Still...would you rather have Chara or PK with the playoffs they both had ? - BashCH

"Please rate the two during their 2014 playoff series against one another" - MTL1

Never said you said it, still part of the conversation. Now go back to bed.

and the whole "habs are in the bruins head" thing needs to get nipped in the bud. i really think this bruins team poops their pants a bit when the play montreal.

None of us have offered him that much money. We could never amass such a sum even if we went to the bank begging.

It seemed to go away for a couple of years..... I feel it's back now.

But hey, the good news is that we're talking about 2 great rivals having good teams at the same time for the first time in..... god dare I say decades?
