He took 541 draws last year, more than Roy and Ott who are listed as Cs. Thats more than just getting tossed out of the circle. It wasn't that crazy of a question

I still remember Mueller and Hanzal absolutely dominating in their first game against the Blues. Expected both of them to be taking care of bidness by now. Looking forward to seeing him with the note.

Any reason you're paying a guy 5.8/yr to play on the third line?

The Blues don't have a 3rd line we roll 3 good lines and a checking line.

I'll try to find the link later but I am pretty sure Lindstrom has an out clause that lets him go back to Europe if he doesn't make the NHL roster.

Hope Jaskin takes this as motivation to work harder, not to get his agent to demand a trade.

Any Lindstrom thoughts from his time in CO? What type of player do you think we should expect?

I know he has matured since then and hopefully progressed a lot but I want some ideas of things to look for in his game.

This a ton of depth. Very interesting. I wonder if there is or has been a trade in the works.

It would just be swell if say Lapierre was shown the door period. I do not know why no thinks he could have the door shown to him. He down right sucked most of last year and especially in the play offs.

I do not think Jaskin will be asking for a trade anytime soon. Both of his linemates from junior are in the. Blues organization. In juniors that trio was awesome to watch. Pure dominance.

What I fail to understand is why there are not more looks at some other players for the fourth line. There is a Russian in Chicago who would be an excellent checking forward in the. NHL. I think Reaves was simply far too slow last year after his injury. I think it is time to reorganize the fourth line.

This is a great signing by the blues. Muells was good in Colorado WHEN HEALTHY. He is the type of guy who can slide up and down your lineup.

This makes me hate the blues even more somehow. Should be a great year of hockey in the central!

Outstanding pick-up IMO, if he can keep his head clear, he could pot 20 goals perhaps.

I had heard the bruins were looking at inking him, but the blues got him first.

Im happy with this signing.

Regarding Randall's line layout, I think his 4th looks really fun to watch, but Berglund in the top 6? No chance. God he sucks and I am still pissed we resigned him.

I like it. We have a long list of guys to battle for time, some of them are going to pan out. Really like what the Blues are doing. Still unsure about the goaltending duo.......

He is a good 3rd line center/lw. I still think that he is the front-runner to be traded near the deadline unless he had a monster year. Even then, I would consider trading him with an increased value.

Its been a while but I do remmeber that he was decent in his first run, had some hands and could dish the puck a bit but did not do well adjusting to the physical grind of the NHL.

Frustrated me that he would cough the puck over so easily and once he started doign that, got in the coaches dog house, thats when he called it quits (granted Sacco was a bad coach but I dont think it was all bc of him)

Dater has a pretty good summary of him when he left

I like Randall's top 3 lines and I wish people would stop worrying about if it's 1, 2, or 3. The best two on any given night will play slightly more than the others. Berglund currently on the "2nd" line is fine. His ice time will be significantly less than Steen's considering PP and PK (which Bergie won't do much of anymore). Plus Steen's line could be our best (Love Lehtera and that could easily become Mueller/Lehtera/Steen).

For the fourth line, I'd love to see Paajarvi/Ott/Reaves or Paajarvi/Lapierre/Ott. I just don't think you can keep Paajarvi's speed out of the lineup. If Ott can win faceoffs, then I have no use for Lappy.

How about Berglund to Columbus for Oscar Dansk, T.J. Tynan and a 3rd round pick.

I think that is how it will come out of training camp, but Hitch said in his Q&A that he wanted to get a look at Stastny there too. I don't mind Steen/Stastny/Lindstrom either.

With two new centers being added to the team, it's probably going to take the pre season and then some to really figure out who has the best chemistry.

I could easily see them keeping the top line from last year together (why mess with what works) and slide Stastny in with Schwartz and Tarasenko. Then you can keep Berglund on LW with Lehtera and Jaskin. Fourth line being some combo of Ott and Lappiere with Reaves, Mueller, Porter, or Pajaarvi. Granted I have no idea what we're getting in Lindstrom.

Wait hitchcock is the coach correct? And you ask why mess with what works lol

We have seen it happen before. One line is absolutely rolling and another line or two is not quite there. So move players off the line that is working to get the other lines going. Seems logical but it did not seem to work all that well last year.

The only concern is some players need a certain amount of ice time to keep their rhythm. It seems it is harder to find ones that do not need a good amount of ice time.

But there is awful glut of talent on this team even though three of the players played in Europe last year and no one knows for sure how any of them will look in the NHL. There is speculation and stats used but none of it is definitive.

What is awesome is that players want a chance to be on the Blues. Honestly, I think it could lead to a trade before the start of the season. I do not think a lot of the players who would need to be sent down pass waivers. Then again I did not think Cracknell nor Porter would pass waivers last year and both did at different times in the season.

Ott has proven to win face offs and actually Porter did a good job as a center a couple of seasons ago. So i do not know why they keep that guy around honestly.
