Only Dallas Eakins knows how he plans to use the Right Winger
That's what you think, he'll end up at center knowing Eakins madness. - Lahey
Naw, Eakins'll bench Jultz and try Purcell out on D as an offensive Dman... and Pucker'll do everything better except skate backwards.
Edit: THAT'S RIGHT, HIS NICKNAME FROM THIS DAY FORTH IS PUCKER. |

looks like a guy that can compliment skill lines. Been between 1st and 3rd line production the past 4 years. If he can put up 40-45 points and push possession, I'm very happy.
The 3rd line wingers for the last 20 games last year were like Pinizzoto and Hendricks. Now Pouliot n Purcell. Big big improvement there. A lot of talk over the centre depth being terrible, but last year's was RNH-Gagner-Gordon-Acton. If Draisaitl's like a 3rd line quality centre would that not be worse than RNH-Arco-Draisaitl-Gordon? - TheNugeIsHuge
I think Gagner > Arcobello. It doesnt really matter, Drasaitl will be the 2nd line center (maybe 1st) in a couple years |

I mean is Arco+Draisaitl better than Gagner+Acton. If so, while EDM's C depth is bad, better than the start of last year. |

purcell isnt a center.
yakimov showed promise, but im far from certain he'll ever make an impact in the show. let alone start with edm this year. i feel like that 3rd line would get destroyed.
joensuu plays the way we need him to one or two nights every couple months.
im writing him off till proven otherwise - hugefemale dog77
Didn't notice that he was a right wing. In Cap central, he is listed as a Centre.
How about this?
Hall-RNH-Eberle
Perron-Arco-Purcell
Pouliot-Draistl-Yak
Yak2/Joensuu-Gordon-Hendricks
Now that seems very good to me.
1st line is the dominator line, just full of Offensive talent.
Second line is the gritty and secondary scoring line.
3rd line is again secondary scoring but with some skill and talent.
4th line is the defensive shutdown group.
2nd and 3rd lines are almost identical in purpose. |

Other than JesJoe, whom I agree needs to re-prove himself, and Yak2 over Lander/Pitlick on the 4th It looks:
There is a reality that Lander gets the 3C over Drai. Letting the team send him back to Jr.
Though Berglund might be available (very slim %) from reading the StL blog. After signing Mueller they have a glut of C. |

Yak back in Edmonton training for the rest of the summer. Says foot 100% healed up. - Iggysbff
Just watched a couple of interviews on the Oiler site.
-Noticed his much improved english, less start/stop while talking as he processes what he wants to say from Russian to English.
-He seemed to have an air of maturity. More focus on what needs to be done.
-Liked his respect in regards to moving back to #10. He spoke with Horc and basically got his blessing. He also mentioned the Horc said there was no issue if Yak took 10 last year, but Yak said he didn't want to jump on it right away.
I am really expecting a full on buy in from him and as a result a good year. |

yak's a thick body. Yak2's looking huge too. If Yakimov's 6'4-6'5 then Draisaitl's definitely 6'2 - TheNugeIsHuge
