All I know is that I've never heard of that before and that a lot of people from here still travel back and forth constantly and they make a damn ton of cash. Hell, I only left Alberta not even 2 years ago, I spent 10 years there myself. It's so easy to get work in Alberta for a Newfie, we have a great reputation as hard workers.

I have heard of the people that like to drink too much and dabble in too much blow in Alberta. That was never an issue for me, I rarely ever drink and I only smoke some pot here and there. I have too many jobs here to be a boozer.

I don't work a 9 to 5 type job. For example, I crab fish on one boat, I cod fish on another boat, I cut wood and sell it/donate it to older people that can't do it themselves. I do mechanic work, hunt, carpentry and other poop too but lucky for me, none of them are set in stone when I have to start except when I am scheduled to go out on a boat so I have pretty flexible times.
