Your are now getting into the Ug realm of stupitity.
Falling back to lame insults in an argument, because someone called you out on a foolish comment you made about your lover boy.

moving along.

The best way to help the d is to reduce his minutes, have 3 pairings that can handle close to 20 mins each...
- aminnes

Sadly, we aren't even close to that.

I admit I have absolutely no idea what Robidas or Polak will bring to the table (my mom won't let me stay up to watch Western Conference games), but based upon how we got them, I'm not optimistic they are a significant upgrade from last year.

Gardiner is what he is. I like the kid, I think his ceiling is very high, but he is still in the fermentation stage.

Rielly is entering his sophomore year. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Franson is one-dimensional. Let's hope he has some added jam this year due to his contract status.

I totally get the logic behind what they've done with the bottom six forwards, but I don't think they've done enough to shore up the defence. But I'm not opposed to letting the kids develop - just don't expect a parade down Yonge Street next June.

Walk away from this and move on to discussions.

i thought talking about dion having some better options on the point this year was a good discussion to be honest.

you know, saying our 7million dollar d man may improve his play..i guess i should stick to non hockey topics in my next discussion.

Poor Luke Schenn.
- Woderwick

The one stat I love to look at for defencemen is TOI/G. To me, it's everything.

Luke Schenn was 8th in TOI/G last year for the Flyers.

That's not a good sign.

Agree. The only upside this year is Robidas and Polak are no poons and won't wussy-foot around the ice. So I do see an upgrade, but very minor...

I'm actually curious if you think they've done enough.

As I've admitted (continuously), I don't have a feel for Robidas or Polak, but I'm not sensing that they are a significant upgrade.

I don't like the idea of Gardiner-Phaneuf. I just don't.

So based upon absolutely nothing, my wild prediction is that it will be Phanuef and Robidas to start.

It's the meaningless discussions in July that unite us all.

But he had a legit NHL dman to play with last year.
I agreed, saying it was a 2nd/3rd pairing dman he was playing with.
Which is what he'll be playing with this year as well.

But, as pointed out...this is going nowhere. We'll hug it out and move on.

Franson and Gardiner together doesn't work either.

It's a defensive dilemma that unites us all.
