And that #1 center thingy, plus I think they need a big crusty, mean, offensive winger in that top 6. - Woderwick
Clarkson fills out one of those 5 things! Being a winger!

he has been great.. will see how he does the rest of the way.
reminds me of when Jaun Guzman cam on the scene he was my fav player at the time... Oh my Guzman RC was worth a bunch the hype was insane... now its worth 15 cents - senstroll
I think one of the funniest Jays stories I ever heard was with Luis Leal, he was pulled from a game and proceeded to eat all the post game subs they had waiting for the players. |

relax?
im relaxed, saying "i like dion" doesnt mean that you get a free pass to say stupid things.
polak vs gunnerson?
yeah, thats a worthy debate, and guess what, polak is a third pairing D man, just like gunnerson, difference is, leafs wont be playing polak with dion.
either gardiner or robidas, both upgrades over gunnerson or kostka/holzer. which is my point, but i guess that was hard to grasp. - big_dion
You made the stupid comment that Dion would actually play with "NHL caliber" Dmen now.
Outside of the shorten season, two seasons ago, Dion had played with NHL caliber dmen.....just third/2nd pairing dmen. Robidas is a slight upgrade on Gunnar.
Keep up. |

gunnar was way more reliable that Jake "brain lapse" gardiner |

reliable yes, but he did nothing good, just below avg at everything.
so at least gardiner has either offense, or skating speed, neither of which gunner had. |

in one game, out another, sit in the presser for a few, sent down, backup, poop coach, horrendous on all acounts...i dont blame him for having a up and down start with the way he was handled...all that being said, he obviously needs to work on his D game. |

yeah, dion isnt a number 1 or 2 dman.
what happend since i left, did HH touch you with saliva and give you ebola and you are whimpering away your last week with tears?
winner/gagnon - big_dion
IMO
Dion isnt a number 1 that can carry a number 2.
He's not a number 2 that can help improve a number 1.
That's all Im saying.
He's playing a number 1....should be a number 2. If he didnt have to worry about helping others and just concentrate on his own work...he would be a great number 2.
If he is going to succeed as our number 1....then he needs a quality defensive number 2 to absorb some of his minutes and give him the space to only worry about his space on the ice.
I dont think Nonis has gotten that player yet for him.
Dont get your panties in a knot....
He's a good player....be he has many limits
The HH/saliva joke was just dumb.....try harder. |

Mobile guys with not so mobile guys makes sense.
Flat footed tandems should be avoided this year. - Woderwick
honestly.. we could have bobby orr, coffey, lidstrom, salming, bourque, and robinson on D and so long as they continued playing Carlyle's sit back and let the play come to you system the leafs D would still suck |
