Good luck selling that argument here. We tried that with Phaneuf and got lambasted to the point we were convinced it was us that were wrong.

It's going to be tough for the coaches to make the line combos this season. What do people think of one of the new additions taking over Clarkson 2nd line spot. I agree with most that he gets paid like a 2nd liner and they need to try to put him there to start but what if that line gets nothing going like last year. Who do you guys think takes it? I don't think so. He came off of 4 years in a row of being WAY overpaid in Calgary at $6.5M. He signed that deal last August.

If that deal goes through I'd say it's the most successful offseason I've ever seen and remember. I'm only 23

Actually it's Komarov*, we have 3 right handed D and Phaneuf who prefers to play right, so we actually have a bit of a mismatch, which is one reason their is an inclination that Franson will be moved, but rather than speculate just threw him somewhere that makes sense, regardless I didn't put a lot of thought into the D pairings.
