4 million is NOTHING in 2014' for a guy who's talented, young and healthy, and will log a lot of minutes.

There's definitely some there with Gardiner. I'm really interested to see him and Rielly play this year. As overwhelmed as they were last year on D along with the whole team, there were plenty of times with both those players where they made you say wow this guy could turn out to be really scary for other teams.

I liked some of the players that we let go, but at the absolute very least it was apparent you couldn't play the fourth line last year, and that burned the team out. There's enough guys here fighting for a contract that at least a few of these guys has to be more useful than Orr and McClaren. Hopefully there's a ripple effect across the whole group.

Komorov clearly the Leafs outbid other teams for with their deal, they spent to get him. They know him well already, let's hope they're right. Apparently players were all texting Nonis saying they loved the move.

One thing with Komorov I don't question that he is legit, he is that madman that loves to run around and (frank) with people. Like really likes it. We need a few of those guys at least.

Bolland was a tough loss, but he only really played 20 games for us so we can't really say we are much worst without him. Especially considering the contract he wanted.

Raymond was a pleasant surprise,

McClement wasn't very good at all.

Kulemin was serviceable as usual but not worth 4 million.

Of the 4 I would say Bolland was the only guy we didn't replace with a better or at least equivalent player and he didn't play enough for it to matter anyway. Aside from that we now have depth which should be very helpful, especially in the last 20 games and hopefully the playoffs.

I'm not too worried about this deal. Should be viewed as a great one in 2-3 years.

nope, sorry, can't agree there. Bolland can put up 15-20 goals. Winnik will need 3 seasons to do that.

All of Winnik, Booth, Frattin, and Kontiola's contracts add up to less than what Bolland is making.

I think the Leafs made the right decision on that one.
