Did you miss the point of my post entirely? That's a rhetorical question btw, because I can tell that you did...

I know he's from Philly, hence the homerism alluded to in my post. No one, not even Flyer fans should care about Leino signing there, but Ek posts EVERYTHING to do with Philly, regardless of how minor the move. In the last 5 days there have been 4 (Frolik, Tatar, Brassard & Eller) signings in the NHL without a peep from Ek.

I honestly think he's better than that. He's worth a 1 way deal. I just don't know how much he's seeking money and length wise. He's young but inconsistent.

Bailey has about a 100 more NHL games played than Myers with only about 40 extra points to show for it.....................oh, and Myers plays D, probably a #1 or 2 on most teams...if he keeps excelling under Nolan.

So, in the spirit of that proposal, how about Tavares for Stafford, straight-up?...ok, I'll throw in a 6th rounder also.

I'm not against Leino on a deal around 900,000. His performance in Buffalo was horrendous, but if he could get back to what he did well in Philly. A LW who can make plays and hang onto the puck... well that's exactly the type of player Lecavilier desperately needs. The question remains, can Ville still be that player. Y'know at least long enough to convince someone that Lecavilier aint' total crap and take him off our hands.

He was that bad. This past year his effort was there in some instances.....but in the end you can have all the effort you want but if you don't have at least something to show for it....anything, it means sheet.

He's another left handed shot (which the Wings have made very clear they have too many of those) that would be fighting Lashoff/Kindl for a spot at the bottom of the roster.

If he works hard and plays average to good defense he would probably be a good fit for the Wings. Those are pretty big "ifs" though, I don't see the Wings signing him without getting a good look in training camp.
