No, my point is that you make comments about how the hawks sucked in the past, yet the leafs are no pillar of success. You made a comment based on what I said to a Blues fan, Blues fans hate on Toews all the time therefor his opinion that a GM would be fired for trading Sid for Toews is a joke.

The West has more teams that are true contenders, which makes it a much tougher conference to come out of. That's not an exaggeration, it's a fact and it has been for 2-3 years.

The fact that Crosby scores slightly more vs the West is a testament to him, not to the quality of competition.

I gotcha. I just get annoyed with people throwing around that opinions don't count because of the team they cheer for. Not many people choose who they cheer for (or I wouldn't be a Leafs fan).

And the Leafs haven't sucked bad enough to get a Kane and a Toews in subsequent years yet, unfortunately.

Solid list JJ. I have Kopitar, Weber, Bergeron and Kane in my 10 though and Sedin, Giroux, Keith or Doughty and Tavares out of it. Also Weber is hands down the best defenseman in the NHL, it's a crime he hasn't won a Norris yet.

Umm its no joke he would undeniably get fired. Why would he take a worse player who was making more money? Trading away the best player in the league when your team is in its "cup window" will get you fired. Period.

I'd take Toews over Cindy the whiner and complainer anyday. Just look at last seasons playoffs. Crosby did nothing and dissapeared for pretty much every big game. Also in the 2014 Olympics. He wasn't even noticeable during any of the games. Toews puts the team on his back and his a true leader. Crosby is an entitled baby.
