I wouldn't go that far. Any D1 college team would probably beat them though.
- PhillySportsGuy

Dude, it wouldn't be close. They would be taller, faster, stronger, and have the ability to play above the rim. It would be an easy victory for the high school kids.

IMO, the best potential value buys are still out there: MDZ, Setoguchi, McBain, Diaz, and Hart Trophy Hayes.
- Tomahawk

Well, Hayes is a rookie, I'm talking just veteran guys. I'd be good with McBain and MDZ, but I doubt Berube would utilize them, basically RHed Guses.

How much production would you say is required for him to stay in the NHL full time?
- jmatchett383

Something along the line of 15 goals and 35-40 points. A lot would depend on his usage and how much PP time he gets.

I think 10-12 goals and 15-20 assists is more realistic unless he's getting top-6 time and top-unit PP time.

I'm HOPING he becomes the Patrick Sharp that we keep. Not likely, but I'm hoping.

He's the Atkins diet guy. Brother of Wade Simmonds.

That would be fine also. He would be a rookie. I think how you described him is a secondary scoring option that's not a liability in other areas, is what he needs to be. My point is if the secondary scoring is not there, is the rest of his game strong enough to keep him in the lineup.

While I don't think his all-around game is as bad as was advertised, he does need to score to hold down a job because he's not a defensive-minded player. That said, I think they'll give him a chance to succeed in the top-9 and, if he's paired with skilled players, should produce at a respectable clip.

I'm hoping (not counting on) Jayson Ankleson turns out to be a late-blooming NHL star player, much like Patirce Sharper was. I'm just hoping that, unlike Parirk Shrip, the Flyers retain Jameson Aplleseed and he becomes a star player for them.

Dude, just stick to your points, which are good points. If they want to move the conversation off point let them. Ignore it and stick to the subject matter!
