Thanks fellas!

I've been offline all day so sorry for the delayed response. Really crazy how life can humble you sometimes....but I've never been happier.

She needs a surgery on Monday...so, although I'm confident this little girl can already take on the world...say a prayer, wish some luck, do whatever little thing you can to help pull her through.

Shea Weber is not even remotely close to generational.
- eichiefs9

Doesn't have the offensive talent for that description....however, I'd still trade like 5 of our defensemen for him...especially since he'd eat their minutes anyway.

Alexi Yashin, Oleg Kavasha

both had all world talent.. but both were lazy as ass

Kvasha also had the extra added bonus of being about as intelligent as one of the hinges on the bench door...

I disagree with this point. Yes God given talent is needed at the professional level in any sport, but if you work harder than anyone else YOU will get better at anything you do in life. For every Kvasha there is a Dan Boyle, Steve Thomas, Rene Bourque, Jason blake, Belfour, Dino Cicorelli, Stasny, St. Louis, Mullen... and evern Mick Vukota who were undrafted but Worked their arse off to make it to the NHLl
- niteislander

Agreed....although, when you're talking about "best player in the world" talent, you pretty much have to show up with that...working his a$$ off makes Dan Girardi a solid NHL defenseman, but it's never going to make him Bobby Orr, which I think is the point he was trying to make. The sh*tty thing is when you show up with all-world talent, and use it to pile up points while not doing much else for your team, while persistently whining about your contract, like Yashin did when he was in Ottawa. We can all call Crosby a whining b*tch, but there's no question he wants to win....Yashin, at least in terms of his demeanor, seemingly could have cared less. Why he was ever the captain, I have no idea.

Why does EK still have the Isles interested in Devon Setoguchi ???? am I missing something or is really that bad...
- Nolanders

Yeah, what the he11 are we going to do with yet ANOTHER forward? Makes no sense, at all.

the one against detroit where amac crashes into Poulin i believe
- Dan Petriw

One game, I remember seeing MacDonald crash into the other defenseman AND Poulin, at two different times, on the same play. It's like watching me trying to skate. $5M a year.....you have to be out of your godd*mn mind....mere words cannot describe how very f***ing stupid that is. At this point, I can come to no other conclusion than that their management enjoys the idea of having to figure out how to ditch salary every summer.....I guess it gives them something to do. There is no other rational explanation for this.

I can't tell if that's a Bruno turnover or an Amac turnover.

Remember when he said something like he was beyond celebrating goals? Like he'd already done it all in the NHL and it was beneath him

From a Father or both 2 girls (10 and 7).. and Twins (boy 7).. I congratulate you Potvin. One of my twins spent over a week in NICU unit too (lungs needed to clear). It happens a lot. (It is very tough to see them in there though I know.. especially with all the tubes, IV, etc. Hopefully everyone will be home safe and sound in a week or 2. Girls Love their Daddy!!

thoughts, prayers .. and Congrats your way sir.

Very cool news

"Islanders captain John Tavares will have his number, 91, retired by his junior club, the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club."

Yeah I promised myself I'd avoid all potholes during future bike rides from there-on out. That was not a fun experience.

He ain't got time to die....

I figured posting him would draw a bit of fire!

I will say, there are two sides to every story, and anyone with an opinion on that circumstance should read this:
