I don't think Frattin makes the team this season.

I wonder if they knew they were going to make these signings when they traded for him. Seems to me they'd have been better off keeping D'Amigo for next season, with all these 1 way contracts.

Exactly, but a lot of posters talk about a guy doing lines as if it says something about their character.... which maybe it does, but I always assume most guys do it.
- Feeling Glucky?

I would say "most guys" is unfair.

On a barely connected note, I saw another 30 for 30 on the weekend - about Greg LeMond.

The end of it was his rift with the next generation of cyclists - all of whom were doping.

He actually got a phone call from someone in Floyd Landis' camp the day before LeMond was going to testify before a Grand Jury - the guy threatened to disclose that LeMond was the victim of childhood sexual abuse if he said anything about Landis doping.

Lance Armstrong was also a complete d-bag to LeMond.

It was a great little documentary.

Or maybe a guy that has 20 years in the biz, just a thought.

I'm probably better.

They gave him two years so I think he is in their plans, who knows, wait until camp starts.

Well some of them are obviously better than others. It's not hard to see that Komarov, Booth, Holland, Winnik make the squad before Santorelli and Colton Orr.

actually i think people are making too much out of what will ultimately be nothing more than centre depth for the marlies

I'd be worried if I was this Kontiola guy.

2 seasons of small rink hockey, 6-7 years ago.

I don't like his chances of making the big club now.

Well, Winnik put up 30 points last year... I don't think any of our bottom-6ers did that last year... so I don't see him going down... Santorelli and Booth were signed as a pair, IMO... so I doubt either gets sent down... Komarov is obviously staying...

Maybe Kontiola, though I don't think he bought himself out without some assurances, aside from the one-way contract.

I think that's our bottom-6 next season. With Bodie and Frattin as extra bodies.

I don't know why... but I feel a lot of NHLers work on... *ahem* line combos in their spare time/between periods.

Ps. guy at work used to play with Kadri in London... says he's a pothead, but that's about it... and it makes a bit of sense... Kadri is religious, and while alcohol and hard drugs aren't their thing... tobacco and weed aren't a big problem.

- Feeling Glucky?

Does everyone you work with have a personal connection to the recent Leafs roster?

-Ranger's wife works there
-Kadri's ex-Knights team mate who knows about his drug use

Who else?

Let's say there are 14 spots available - you have to send down 4 guys:

Orr, Ashton, McLaren, Smith are my guesses.

Or maybe they keep one of Orr or McLaren for the press box and occasional goon duty.

Should be interesting.

Yea, I'm on the same page. I can see why they'd want to keep Orr up(MacLaren's already down)... but I don't see how you can really justify sending one of the other guys down to keep him up.

It was well known in cycling circles, that off camera, Lance Armstrong was one of the biggest douchebags you'd ever meet. To everyone. Lemond was no different.

Looks good.
Frattin may not make it with that much depth. some were putting him on 2nd line..but I dont see that
