I can tell you with a very high level of certainty that Babcock will be coaching the leafs next season as well. Not only that, they will make him the highest paid coach in NHL history. He was a strong relationship with Shanahan and loves the media and the challenge of winning with this exact type of team...take it for what it is....but it will happen.

Oh I am a big fan of Occam's razor, so yeah a lucky guess is an easier explanation than insider information that his *friends* allow to get leaked.

... but he did get everything right about the Winnick deal. There have been lots of guesses and trade specualtion, but I never saw that one, and it happened like 2 days after he said it was done.

So, it is feasible, even if not likely. It is even possible that neither side was right and that he actually did, somehow, get inside information on this one item and the rest is BS.

I remember Meehan being there a lot. I saw Domi there a couple times also (he seems real short in person). I don't remember seeing Strachan though, but I always hated that guy so maybe I blocked it out.
