Not so sure the leafs do anything with granberg
Do you remember all the mock lineups in here pre-draft for the forwards
Some marlie additions and strong cases for lots of them - instead they went out of the org to fill spots - and the 2 perceived spots for Ashton holland are not locks

Same will happen for the 6/7 spots if franson if moved out

Leafs will go out and sign a ufa dman before they give granberg a 6/7 role

Come home, Ontario boy. We forgive you.

unpopular opinion. Leafs are going to be a lot better this season
- jbold

I dont know if the leafs will be a lot better or make the playoffs. Way to many variables at this point. and RC is still around

But the direction and process has changed..things will get better down the road I am convinced now.

Its funny all the "Negative Leafs haters" like PPP and other sites are now very positive with the moves and are now getting told to relax the leafs added some bottom six players thats its..nothing to get excited about

it is crushing that a random unknown HB poster says that

I think Gardiner is very good...I guess I was wrong. that person said so

- senstroll

I think he's just ok, but you say he's good so I must be wrong?

We will see if a Jets deal gets done, the guy isn't being a jerk on here like organicsteroid

relax on the RC hate. People forget he changed the culture of this team the first season. They competed against top teams and kicked the poop out of others. He brought in this "Tough" attitude, and we were hard to play against.

He made some questionable lineup calls last season, but I have faith in him

I'd promote Granberg anyways. Schultz and him could rotate being the 6th Dman.
- jbold

my only issue with that is i wouldnt want a young guy sitting that much

I think it's about time they start talking extension with Melky Cabrera.

Hey Mr. Kinggilmour, I'd like to extend a congratulations on being as accurate as you were on the Winnik signing. There is no way to prove whether you are an honest insider or just lucky, but summer time is slow time for hockey news, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Since the signing of Robidas I've had a sneaking suspicion that he is mainly intended to mentor Rielly. Do you think that's accurate?

Then send him down and give him top pairing minutes in the AHL. Ease him into the NHL and play him when injuries occur. Dont assume he can hang with the big boys.

Its best to give him a few games here and there, and when he's for sure ready, make room.

We all thought Holzer was going to be a good bottom pairing guy.. Now he's just an AHLlifer

I think the drive to compete for jobs will be at a level we've been promised for years, since Burke days, even if only the bottom 6.

Let's also not forget that the recent cup-winning teams have iced very good lines of skaters on their 3rd and 4th lines: LA, Boston, Chicago all have a bottom 6 that can contribute on any given night. We haven't had that for a while.

Should be a fun camp/season regardless. Lots of guys with something to prove.

Not sure how much room there will be for Holland, Leivo, or Ashton, but we'll see.

Do you forget that Carlyle played a big part in getting the Leafs to the playoffs? Lets be real here...

1 bad season with a horrid bottom 6... Lets see how things go this season with better depth
