You idiots drooling over the fake roomers of a 14-year-old typing in his parents' basement would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

A kid from Tecumseh hangs around agents and MLSEL staff all day? And they openly talk about trades with him? Where is this magical place - is it a unicorn farm?

The only agent King Gilmour hangs out with is David Frost.

You guys need to give your heads a really good shake.

Sheesh!

I was surprised listening to a recent interview with Reimer. He admitted that while he never requested a trade he did tell management that he thought perhaps it would be best for both parties of he moved on. He said that he has recently felt more inclined to stay now,and hinted that Shanahan was the reason. He was a little guarded, but surprisingly candid for a hockey player. (Not including Grabovski)

In regards to Carlyle he said he holds no resentment or negativity towards him. Time heals all wounds, so to speak.

He actually said the whole thing was blown out of proportion. Mostly media hype and that there really was no riff, just a disagreement

I don't. Everything Nonis and Reimer have said on the radio over the last week indicates that Reimer will be given every opportunity to take back the starting position; this is why Reimer chose to sign again and for two years. He thought "we were done", but was told otherwise.

They could still move him, but Nonis said he didn't feel comfortable with any offers that presented themselves. Yes, the two-year deal improves the desirability of the player, but I don't see a lot of options out there and certainly don't see moving a serviceable 1B with a great contract along with a point-producing big-body d-man for Clitsome and a conditional pick.

Bernier is the number one, I really don't see why people don't get that.
But I agree, not sure why the leafs would do that either

maybe there is a bigger deal in works.. Franson, Reimer, Lupul etc for someone... At this point not much out ther for cheap decent backup goalies. So I would say keep Reimer.. Mover Franson... Id move Lupul too.. (Could get rid of the some of the pink hats too)

Reimer isn't cheap for a backup... He's making double what most teams want to pay their backup.

He's only cheap to a team looking for a 1B, or with a startee on an ELC or Bridge

Teams paying starters over $5 m aren't looking for backups near league minimum to $1.5m.

To come in and play 20-23 games against non playoff teams - sure
They would accept their role as backup

Reimer has starter aspirations

Perhaps Brodeur and Thomas still believe they are starters but I'm sure they would embrace the backup role

I think this team is going to need Lupul and his 60 games.

Leafs have that luxury with Bernier on a bridge.

Teams with a starter making starter money don't. Jets are about the limit with pavelec under $4m

not so much worried if they accept their roles or not, more interested in how they perform.

I agree, barring a miracle (Reimer flat out crushes Bernier next year) or a stroke of misfortune/luck (depending on who's looking at it), if Bernier was to get hurt next year and miss LTIRish number of games.
